Kelly: 'Not enough data' to say Ryan Mathews better than DeMarco Murray

The Philadelphia Eagles are a train wreck right now. Sitting at 1-3 without any semblance of a high-powered offense, it sure feels like Week 5's matchup against the Saints is a must win.

So Chip Kelly should be willing to do anything to create a spark with his team. The one thing he won't do? Roll with Ryan Mathews instead of DeMarco Murray.

Kelly was asked about Mathews outperforming Murray and said there's "not enough data" to definitively say Mathews is better.

"There is not enough data," Kelly said. "For you to just say that 'this' is better than 'that' because one of them didn't play in the one game where we had success running the football."

So far this season, Mathews has 132 rushing yards on 33 carries. Murray? 47 yards on 29 carries.

Fantasy Impact:

Mathews did look good against the Jets, the Eagles only win this season. Murray did have an 8-36-0 line last week which is a 4.5 yards per carry clip, his best this season. But the Eagles trailed much of the game and didn't stick with the run game. It's a nice matchup this week against the Saints but Murray is tough to trust. The hope is he at least shows more signs of life this week.
