Question: Can Christine Michael be the lead running back this team has sorely needed?
Brandon George (of the Dallas News): I don't think so. There's a reason why Seattle basically gave away Michael in a trade to the Cowboys earlier this season. I still believe Joseph Randle has the best skill set to be a lead back for the Cowboys. But the Cowboys want to take more of a look at Michael, so we shall see soon how he handles the increased workload.
Michael is reportedly set for a larger role this week and he may even see more touches than Randle, who hasn't been able to carryover the efficiency of last year's 6.7 YPC. But it's far from a sure thing that Michael is going to take over as the lead back. Remember, he was never able to beat out Robert Turbin to be the RB2 in Seattle.
