While the Seattle Seahawks listed running back Marshawn Lynch as questionable for Sunday’s game against Arizona with an abdominal injury, coach Pete Carroll said after Friday’s practice he thinks Lynch will be able to play in what is a key NFC West showdown against the Cardinals.
“We think so,” Carroll said. “He thinks he’s okay. Think it’s something he’s had before so we treated him all day just to make sure we take care of him.”
Carroll said Lynch felt something in his abdomen late in Thursday’s practice and “didn’t think it was anything” initially. He said Lynch still felt the pain in his abdomen when he showed up on Friday so he was held out of practice. Since it's a Sunday night game, Thomas Rawls is a nice backup plan, especially for Lynch owners, just in case Lynch is unable to go.
