Dolphins want to establish run

The Dolphins are 4-7 entering Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens, and a large reason for that — and a good reason Bill Lazor no longer is their offensive coordinator — is how quickly they have abandoned the run.

Last weekend’s totals of nine rushing attempts for 12 yards against the Jets scream that this isn’t the physical offense it claims to be. But a deeper analysis shows the blazing speed with which they have allowed themselves to be one dimensional.

“Obviously, we felt like we should run the ball and we threw it,” Pouncey said of the season-long pattern. “Some games we had no choice but I feel like when you go in with a mindset to run the football and run it until the run game works, then we build our identity as a football team.”

Fantasy Impact:

The story said the correlation between running and winning is epitomized by this team, which has averaged 150.3 rushing yards in victories and 58 in losses.
It went on to say the Dolphins didn't even try in some games. In all seven of their losses, as soon as the Dolphins fell behind, they immediately went to the air, but only once did that pay off with a quick scoring drive.
