LV RB Ameer Abdullah - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at New Orleans Saints

The revolving running backdoor continues with Ameer Abdullah and Alexander Mattison being featured this week. We have him projected as our RB31 with Mattison one spot ahead of him.

Abdullah was much more efficient than Mattison in their win last weekend. On four fewer touches, Mattison gained 19 more yards from scrimmage and also scored a touchdown.

Week 16 vs Jacksonville Jaguars

Ameer Abdullah is in the mix once again. With all of the injuries in the backfield, though, Abdullah hasn't been able to grab a sranglehold of the volume. He's maxed out at 13 touches this season. He's at RB34 and is a fine flex start this week if you absolutely have to.

Week 14 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Ameer Abdullah had every opportunity to take control of this backfield and hasn't been up to the task. He was even with Sincere McCormick in touches last week and was outproduced on 12 touches.

He's in the flex conversation with a half-dozen teams on bye but his tenous grasp on the backfield seems to be loosening.

Week 13 at Kansas City Chiefs

Ameer Abdullah is in the flex conversation this week at RB36. It's hard to get excited about a guy that has only had double-digit touches once this whole season, but he did show some signs of life in Week 12.

Abdullah didn't do much on the ground, but a half dozen targets and a score through the air made his day. If he can get involved in the passing game, Abdullah could be useful down the stretch.

Ameer Abdullah is at the top of the list for the Raiders RB Carousel. He had four touches last week but as the lead back this week, we have him projected at RB31.

That puts him in the flex conversation, but expectations have to be low given the likely game script the Raiders will face.

Ameer Abdullah comes in on the fringe of fantasy relevance this week. As RB37, we'd hope you have better options on your roster.

He only managed 38 yards on nine opportunities in their game against Pittsburgh last week and has just 23 total opportunities on the year.

Ameer Abdullah has factored into the mix with Zamir White missing time. He's our RB41 this week so he's not exactly top of mind. But, if you're struggling with injuries and bye weeks, he's possibly worth a Hail Mary.
