CHI WR Anthony Miller - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 at Green Bay Packers

The Bears selected Anthony Miller in the second round of this year's draft, and he should play a decent role in Chicago's offense as a rookie. Although Taylor Gabriel is listed as a starter over Miller, we project Miller will have better numbers in Week 1.

He gets a decent matchup against the Packers, where the Bears could get in an offensive showdown with Aaron Rodgers. However, there's a lot of risk with Miller considering this will be his first full NFL start.

Miller may develop into a good fantasy option, but for now he's not much more than a WR4 option.

Fantasy Upside

The Bears took Anthony Miller in the second round of the draft and the rookie has been working mostly in the slot. He’s a great route runner and should see plenty of work with Allen Robinson as the No. 1 WR and Taylor Gabriel as a deep-threat option. Expect Miller to get plenty of looks if he continues to impress and don’t be surprised if he finishes second in targets on the team by season’s end.

Fantasy Downside

We really don’t quite know what to expect from Miller in 2018. As a rookie, he’s still adjusting to the speed of professional football and his role is mostly speculation as we haven’t seen any real action in Matt Nagy’s system with the Bears.

2018 Bottom Line

Miller can be considered a sleeper pick, with more expected value in PPR formats. He should be selected very late in most drafts, if at all. He’s an intriguing option who you can select as a project player in the hopes he works out, but he’d be a risky guy to start immediately in Week 1.
