Scouting report

WAS RB Antonio Gibson - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at New York Jets

Brian Robinson was inactive last week, which gave Antonio Gibson a few more opportunities. Although he didn't do much, rushing four times for 15 yards while catching five passes for 20 yards. Robinson hasn't been practicing this week, so there's a chance he's inactive once again. If that's the case, then Gibson becomes relevant in a favorable matchup vs. the Jets (27th aFPA). Although Gibson hasn't inspired much confidence with his numbers in Robinson's absence so far. Plus he's been splitting carries with Chris Rodriguez. Gibson should be viewed as an RB3/flex option for Week 16.

WAS RB Antonio Gibson - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Los Angeles Rams

Antonio Gibson saw an increase in playing time in Week 13 as Brian Robinson (hamstring) injured himself in the second quarter. Despite a bye week to heal, Robinson is expected to be out once again in Week 15, which would open the door for Gibson once again. Gibson should see double digit touches this week vs. the Rams (14th aFPA), assuming Robinson is out. He'll still split some of his playing time with Chris Rodriguez, but Gibson remains a reliable option if you need a RB this week. He should be viewed as a solid RB2 option.

WAS RB Antonio Gibson - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Miami Dolphins

Antonio Gibson had a decent role last week, rushing six times for 21 yards while catching three of his four targets for 16 yards. It was a decent outing considering he was coming off of an injury on a short week, and faced one of the best run defenses in the league. Still, Gibson hasn't really been utilized enough to make him a strong fantasy asset. We'd avoid him in Week 13, especially in a tough matchup vs. the Dolphins (4th aFPA).

WAS RB Antonio Gibson - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. New York Giants

Antonio Gibson was actually productive last week. He ran four times for 13 yards and caught five passes for 42 yards and a touchdown. He also had 133 kick return yards, which is huge in leagues where that counts. Gibson has been seeing a bit more volume recently as he has three consecutive games with five receptions. Although he missed practice this week with a toe injury, so his health will be worth monitoring. If he does play, he gets a decent matchup against the Giants (21st aFPA) and should be viewed as an RB3/flex option in PPR formats.

WAS RB Antonio Gibson - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Seattle Seahawks

Antonio Gibson had a decent game last week, finishing with 42 yards on five receptions. He also added 34 yards on six carries. Gibson has finished with five receptions in back-to-back games now. We'd be surprised if that trend continues, though. Gibson isn't much more than a desperation flex play in Week 10 despite a favorable matchup against the Seahawks (25th aFPA).

WAS RB Antonio Gibson - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at New England Patriots

Antonio Gibson was a little more involved last week as he finished with a season-high five receptions. Although he finished with just 28 receiving yards and 14 rush yards on two carries. Gibson continues to be slightly involved in this offense, but his season high in touches is seven. He's just not seeing enough volume to warrant fantasy consideration. We'd avoid him in Week 9 against the Patriots (9th aFPA).

WAS RB Antonio Gibson - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Antonio Gibson finished with four total touches last week for 31 scrimmage yards. Gibson's been involved enough in this offense to not be completely irrelevant, but he's certainly not trustworthy enough to put in your fantasy lineups. We'd avoid him in Week 8 against the Eagles (1st aFPA).
