After missing the last two weeks with a hip flexor injury, Cedric Benson came back to a familiar spot – carrying the load with 110 yards on 36 carries. It is the fifth game in 10 this year he has had 25 or more carries and his third with over 30.

Said quarterback Carson Palmer of Benson’s day: “He didn’t look like he missed any time. He had his explosion and his quick cuts back. He was running powerfully and falling forward at the ends of runs.”

Bengals RB Cedric Benson (hip probable) practiced fully all week and is in line to return to the lineup in a great matchup against the Lions. There is a bit of risk here that Benson could be rested later in the game after the Bengals get a large lead, but Benson needs to be started in all formats assuming he is active (make sure to check the gameday inactive list).

Bengals RB Bernard Scott (toe doubtful) did not practice all week and is not expected to play in what would be a good matchup against the Lions. Larry Johnson will be the primary backup to Cedric Benson and could be in line for a nice game if Benson doesn't take the full workload.
