Cowboys WR Michael Gallup is enjoying his increased work in slot. “That’s a whole different route tree than playing outside. ...Everybody labels me as just a ‘deep-ball threat,’ but I know I can do a whole lot more.” Been focused on route-running, conceptual details this camp.

Gehlken went on to tweet that all three Cowboy WRs can play from the slot, which will add a new wrinkle to the offense. As Gallup said, corners won't be able to follow anyone and will have to change up the defense. There is a significant gap between CeeDee Lamb and everyone else. He’s having the best camp of anyone on the roster. When coach Mike McCarthy talks about noticing several second-year players making the leap in Year 2, Lamb has to be at the top of the list. Every practice seems to include at least one impressive Lamb highlight to go along with a handful of other noteworthy plays that he makes look effortless.

Fantasy Impact:

Lamb is a popular pick when it comes to wide receivers who are ready to make a huge jump. We rank Lamb 14th, right behind Amari Cooper at 13. While Lamb is the guy going before Cooper, we're not totally convinced that's the right call. In four games last year with Dak Prescott under center, Cooper out-targeted Lamb 23.4 to 16.7.

Cowboys WR Michael Gallup avoided serious injury in Sunday’s win over 49ers. Exited third quarter with a hip pointer, source said.

Fantasy Impact:

Gallup hasn’t been ruled out for Sunday’s divisional game against Eagles, the tweet said. And with the Cowboys and the rest of the NFC East teams still alive for the division, this will be a key game for both teams so Gallup may try to play through the injury. He produced a 3-26-1 line behind Lamb's 8-85-0 line last week, while Cooper had just two catches for 10 yards in the win over the 49ers.
