TB WR Chris Godwin - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. New Orleans Saints

It seemed like nearly every pass from Tom Brady last week was going towards Chris Godwin, and that's not even hyperbole. Brady completed 29 passes, and 12 of them went to Godwin, who finished with 110 yards and a touchdown (13 targets). Godwin has now scored in back-to-back games, which is encouraging news for Godwin owners as that was the one thing holding him back from being a true WR1. Godwin will face the Saints (18th aFPA) this week, which should be a good matchup for him. New Orleans has given up the 10th-most total receptions to WRs this season. Godwin should continue to be a reception magnet, and should be viewed as a solid WR1 play, especially in PPR formats.

TB WR Chris Godwin - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Cleveland Browns

Chris Godwin had one of his more productive games in Week 10, finishing 6-71-1 on eight targets. It was notably his first touchdown of the season, and the third time this year he's topped 70 receiving yards. In games where he's healthy this year, Godwin has finished with at least six receptions in every single game, which is incredible consistency. We'll see if that can continue in Week 12 against the Browns, who have given up the fifth-fewest total receptions to wide receivers this season. Godwin should be viewed as a solid WR2 play in Week 12.

TB WR Chris Godwin - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Seattle Seahawks in Germany

Chris Godwin saw 10 targets last week, finishing with the interesting stat line of 7-36-0. The Bucs seem incapable of throwing Godwin anything remotely deep this season as he has a career-low 9.6 yards per reception. Godwin also still hasn't scored a touchdown this season. Godwin's been useful in PPR formats as he continues to rack up the receptions, averaging 6.6 in games where he's been healthy. But his ceiling is capped considering his lower yardage totals and lack of scores. He should be viewed as a mid-tier WR2 option this week in a tough matchup against the Seahawks (5th aFPA).

TB WR Chris Godwin - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Los Angeles Rams

Chris Godwin had a familiar stat line as he finished 6-75-0 on 11 targets. Godwin has been held without a score all season long, but he continues to get plenty of looks. In the four games he's played 80% of the offensive snaps or more, he's seen at least 10 targets. He should continue to have similar production as he gets a middle-of-the-road matchup this week against the Rams. Godwin will be a strong WR2 play in standard leagues and a low-end WR1 play in PPR formats for Week 9.

TB WR Chris Godwin - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Baltimore Ravens

Chris Godwin saw 13 targets last week, finishing 7-43-0. He also had a carry for two yards. Godwin has seen at least 10 targets in three of his five games this season, and the two games he didn't are the only games he's played below 60% of the offensive snaps. In other words, when Godwin is healthy, he's going to get looks. Unfortunately, Godwin hasn't done a whole lot with those looks. He has no touchdowns on the season, and his 58.6 yards per game is 20 yards less than what he averaged a season ago. Still, it's rare to have a receiver get so many targets, so it feels like he's due for a big game at some point. It could come this week in a favorable matchup vs. the Ravens, who are 6th in aFPA to wide receivers. Godwin should be viewed as a strong WR2 play in Week 8.

TB WR Chris Godwin - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Carolina Panthers

Chris Godwin looks like he's getting back to his usual self. He saw a team-high 12 targets last week, finishing 6-95. He also played a season-high 89% of the offensive snaps as it looks like he's finally getting healthy after a number of injuries this year. He's fully off the injury report as he heads into a favorable Week 7 matchup against the Panthers. In his last four games against the Panthers, Godwin has averaged 116.2 receiving yards. Godwin should be a strong option in Week 7 as a lower-end WR1 play.

TB WR Chris Godwin - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Pittsburgh Steelers

Chris Godwin looked solid last week, finishing 6-61 on six targets while also getting a carry for two yards. Although he may not be fully healthy yet as his snaps were limited. Godwin played on 52% of the offensive snaps in Week 5 after playing 83% in Week 4. He was listed on the team's injury report this week with a hip/knee injury, which is notable considering the hip injury is new. Considering he's played the last two weeks, we'd expect Godwin to be fine and ready to go for Week 6, although it will be worth monitoring. Assuming he's active, he'll be a strong play in a favorable matchup against the Steelers. Pittsburgh has allowed the most average fantasy points to wide receivers so far this season. Godwin is a low-end WR1 or strong WR2 play this week.
