JAX WR Christian Kirk - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Houston Texans

In weather that made passing the ball difficult, Christian Kirk put up a disappointing stat line in Week 16 against the Jets. Kirk saw six targets but was only able to reel in three for 22 yards. It marked the first game for Kirk with less than 40 receiving yards since Week 6. He also rushed once for four yards Kirk put up a meager 4.1 Half PPR points, making him the WR60 in Week 16.

The Texans, the team Kirk is taking on this week, are one of the league's foremost run funnels, and as such, it is hard to get too excited about the potential for Kirk to rack up fantasy points. The Texans rank second in aFPA to wide receivers. Kirk is a risky WR2 option this week.

JAX WR Christian Kirk - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at New York Jets

Christian Kirk was solid but not spectacular in Week 15. He saw ten targets, his fourth double-digit look game this season, and caught six balls for 92 yards. Kirk earned 12.2 Half PPR points and finished as the WR20. He needs five catches and 17 yards to set new career highs in these categories.

But Kirk will have to scrap and scrape for these stats against the Jets in Week 16. The Jets are the No.1 ranked team in aFPA to wide receivers this season, with only the Broncos allowing fewer receiving yards to wideouts than the Jets in 2022. It's hard to see Kirk producing more than WR3 numbers this week.

JAX WR Christian Kirk - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Dallas Cowboys

In the last four weeks, Christian Kirk has alternated between 100 yards and below 50 yards, with his latest effort a five-catch, 45-yard game against the Titans in Week 14. Kirk was the WR46 for the week on the back of his 7.0 Half PPR points. For the season, Kirk has 107 targets and a 23.7% target share. But Zay Jones has played one game less and has 99 targets and a 23.1?% share.

If Kirk follows his recent pattern, he should come good against the Cowboys this week. The Cowboys are 18th in aFPA to wide receivers and have given up 14 receiving touchdowns to the position this season. Kirk projects as a mid-tier WR2 this week.

JAX WR Christian Kirk - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Tennessee Titans

Christian Kirk continued his good run of production against the Lions in Week 13. Kirk caught six of his eight targets for 104 yards, his third 100-yard game of the season. Kirk is on pace for an 88-catch, 1179-yard season in his first year with the Jaguars. Kirk didn't find the end zone but was able to put up 13.4 Half PPR points. He finished as the WR19 in Week 13.

Kirk's good run should continue against a very beatable Titans pass defense in Week 14. The Titans have allowed the fourth most receptions, second-most receiving yards and the most receiving scores to wideouts this season while ranking 31st in aFPA to wideouts. Kirk should be a high-end WR2 this week.

JAX WR Christian Kirk - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Detroit Lions

Week 12 was a disappointment for Christian Kirk after two strong games coming into the clash with the Ravens. Kirk saw nine targets but caught only four passes for 46 yards without a touchdown. Kirk was outscored by not just Zay Jones, but also Jamal Agnew and Marvin Jones among Jaguars wide receivers on his way to 6.1 Half PPR points, a WR61 finish for the week.

Kirk should be able to return to the good times against the Lions in Week 13. The Lions rank 27th in aFPA to wide receivers this season, allowing the third most receptions and fifth most receiving yards to wideouts. Kirk should be viewed as a very high-end WR2 in Week 13.

JAX WR Christian Kirk - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Baltimore Ravens

Christian Kirk's strong recent form continued in Week 10 against the Kansas City Chiefs. Kirk caught nine of his 12 targets for 105 yards and two touchdowns. It was his first 100-yard game since Week 1 and his first double-touchdown day since Week 2. Kirk notched 27 Half PPR points and finished as WR4 that week.

Kirk should be able to continue his good form in Week 12 as the Jaguars take on the Baltimore Ravens after their bye week. The Ravens rank 17th in aPFA to wide receivers and have allowed the fourth most receptions and sixth most receiving yards to the position. Kirk should be projected as a high-end WR2 this week.

JAX WR Christian Kirk - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Kansas City Chiefs

Christian Kirk put in another solid outing in Week 9 against the Raiders. Kirk drew nine targets, which he converted into a season-high eight grabs for 76 yards and a touchdown. Kirk is averaging a career-high 63.8 receiving yards per game this season, while he only needs one score to match his previous best of six. Kirk scored 17.6 Half PPR points last week on his way to WR5 numbers.

Kirk is a viable fantasy option again in Week 10 against a Chiefs defense that has struggled against wide receivers this season. They ranked 25th in aFPA to the position, allowing 10 receiving touchdowns. We project Kirk as a high-end WR2 this week, and it wouldn't be a complete shock if he were to invade WR1 air space.
