UPDATE: It's been reported Davis has a torn meniscus. It hasn't yet been determined if Davis will need a trim or a full repair, according to reports. Pro Football Talk reports Davis would be done for the season needing a full repair. However, with the Jags at 2-9 and coming off a horrible loss to the Lions, there is really no need to bring Davis back. It looks like Thomas will remain the team's top target at WR but with Kirk and Davis now potentially done for the year, Washington moves up the depth chart.

Losing Christian Kirk means a bigger role for Parker Washington, a sixth-round pick in 2023. Last season, Washington didn't capitalize on the opportunity when he had to replace an injured Kirk as the Jaguars' primary slot receiver, but the team has no doubt he can now.

Washington was up and down last season when having a chance to get regular snaps. He had two TDs but also missed a route adjustment that led to Trevor Lawrence getting injured. Washington did have a great offseaosn, according to the story, and the team is confident Washington can step up with Kirk out for the season. Those needing help at WR may want to take a gamble on at least stashing Washington.

Jaguars WR Christian Kirk suffered a broken collarbone during Sunday’s game against the Packers.

Kirk is expected to miss the rest of the season as a result. Kirk had become the No. 2 wide receiver behind rookie Brian Thomas. He had two catches for 59 yards in the loss. Gabe Davis also left the game with a shoulder injury so Parker Washington saw more work while the Jags involved both of their top tight ends, Evan Engram and Brenton Strange — the two combined for eight catches for 95 yards. The Jaguars visit Philadelphia next week.

The story went on to say there are still areas of his game that have to be ironed out, but it is clear that when the Jaguars let Thomas do what he is best at, he can make plays. Thomas has a chance to jump right into the team's WR2 role behind Kirk, however, Davis is lurking on the depth chart as well. Thomas is 36th on our WR list and is a middle-round target for those looking to add him.

The Jaguars have essentially revamped their entire wide receiver room outside of Christian Kirk. As it stands, it's probably a net-neutral for QB Trevor Lawrence, but it continues to set up Brian Thomas Jr. as the team's WR1, with Kirk operating out of the slot and Gabe Davis stretching the defenses.

Gabe Davis agreed with the Jaguars to a 3 year deal for $39 million with incentives that could get him to $50 million.

Davis gives Trevor Lawrence a field-stretcher to compliment his underneath receivers. Davis himself will be a very inconsistent fantasy option, but Lawrence has plenty of touch to produce big plays for his new weapon from time to time.

Every piece of the receiving corp seemed to get an increase in usage after Kirk sadly went down after only one route (a catch for 26 yards) on Monday Night Football. Ridley continued to be mostly ineffectual with his usage, while tight end Evan Engram and rookie Parker Washington made the most of their opportunities.
Depending on QB Trevor Lawrence's availability in the upcoming weeks, the tertiary pieces of this offense could continue to shine.

Wideout Christian Kirk left early in Monday’s game and head coach Doug Pederson told reporters on Tuesday that Kirk will miss some time with a core muscle injury that will likely require surgery. The Jaguars face the Browns in Week 14 and then face the Ravens, Buccaneers, Panthers, and Titans.

Kirk had one catch for 26 yards on Monday. He has 57 catches for 787 yards and three touchdowns for the season.

Parker Washington had six catches for 61 yards and a touchdown against Cincinnati after not catching a pass in his first three games, so it seems likely that he’ll continue to have a role in the offense with Kirk out of action, the story speculated. There was no exact timetable for Kirk's injury, but at this point, owners may want to have alternate plans for their fantasy regular season stretch runs and playoffs. Washington is certainly worth a pickup and stash in most formats.
