Scouting report

SF RB Christian McCaffrey - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Philadelphia Eagles

Another day, another great game for the incomparable Christian McCaffrey. In a lopsided victory over the 49ers, McCaffrey had 19 carries and five receptions for a total of 139 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He now has a staggering 16 touchdowns on the season and he continues to be the primary cog in the powerful San Francisco offense.

This week, McCaffrey has a tough matchup against an Eagles front seven that ranks first in aFPA to opposing running backs. However, McCaffrey’s workload, talent, and ability to supplement his rushing production with work in the passing game make him a must-start in all league formats, regardless of matchup. Don’t even think about sitting him, and be happy you drafted him.

SF RB Christian McCaffrey - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Seattle Seahawks

Christian McCaffrey returned to the end zone after a brief one-week absence, finishing a lopsided victory over the Buccaneers with 21 carries and five receptions for a total of 103 yards from scrimmage and a score. McCaffrey now has a ridiculous 14 touchdowns in 10 games and continues to be a cheat code for fantasy managers who were lucky enough to draft him.

This week, McCaffrey faces a Seattle defense that ranks 25th in aFPA to opposing running backs. McCaffrey should be active every week, regardless of matchup, but he’s especially enticing against this Seahawks front seven that has struggled against the run for the last couple of years. He’s once again ranked as an elite fantasy option for this week.

SF RB Christian McCaffrey - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

It’s pretty awesome when not scoring a touchdown is what constitutes a shockingly bad day for you. Christian McCaffrey was held out of the end zone last week against the Jaguars for the first time this season. He still had 95 yards rushing and 47 yards on six receptions, turning in another quality fantasy outing. He has at least 14 touches in every game this year, and has eclipsed 20 in six different games. He's A fantasy monster.

This week, McCaffrey has a tough matchup against a Tampa Bay defense that ranks 2nd in aFPA to opposing running backs. Regardless of matchup, however, McCaffrey should be active in all leagues. We have him once again ranked as an elite fantasy option, and he remains the best player in all of fantasy football. Set it and forget it.

SF RB Christian McCaffrey - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Jacksonville Jaguars

The 49ers may have dropped three straight, but that has nothing to do with Christian McCaffrey. Before the bye last week, McCaffrey scored two touchdowns and gained 118 yards from scrimmage on 12 carries and six receptions in a loss to the Bengals. The superstar running back now has 13 touchdowns this season, including at least one in every single game! He’s like a cheat code for fantasy managers.

This week, keep McCaffrey active against the Jaguars. Jacksonville ranks seventh in aFPA to opposing running backs, but McCaffrey is such a monster, you can pretty much ignore the matchup. We have him ranked once again as an elite fantasy option and, while healthy, he should never leave your lineup.

SF RB Christian McCaffrey - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Christian McCaffrey is second in all of football to Tyreek Hill in total fantasy points. That’s ridiculous, considering the kind of season Hill is having, and considering he’s above elite fantasy quarterbacks like Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts, and Patrick Mahomes. Despite dealing with an oblique injury, McCaffrey still found the end zone twice against the Vikings last week, and he now has a ridiculous 11 touchdowns on the season.

This week, McCaffrey faces a Cincinnati defense that ranks 14th in aFPA to opposing running backs. It’s hard to come up with creative ways to say you should start McCaffrey every week, regardless of matchup, as long as he’s active, but that’s about as clear as I can put it. He’s a fantasy monster and should never leave your lineup.

SF RB Christian McCaffrey - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Minnesota Vikings

Christian McCaffrey got hurt last week, but still managed to find the end zone. McCaffrey has an absurd nine touchdowns in six games this year and is a fantasy monster.

This week, McCaffrey faces a Minnesota defense that ranks 14th in aFPA to opposing running backs. McCaffrey’s oblique is the bigger question than the matchup, because he’s going to be a top fantasy back if he’s healthy. Start him if he’s active, but have a backup option ready in case he’s a late scratch. Jordan Mason would be a nice option to roster in case of a last-minute change.

SF RB Christian McCaffrey - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Cleveland Browns

It’s hard to find new ways to compliment Christian McCaffrey each week. He’s just a fantasy monster. He has eight touchdowns through five games, and has yet to finish a game scoreless this season. McCaffrey also has 20 receptions and is on pace for 2,305 yards from scrimmage this season. He’s a cheat code.

This week, McCaffrey has a tough matchup against the Browns. Cleveland ranks seventh in aFPA to opposing running backs and is fresh off a bye. Still, McCaffrey’s talent, usage, and uncanny ability to find the end zone make him a must-start every week, regardless of matchup. We have him ranked as an elite fantasy starter once again.
