Scouting report

BAL TE Crockett Gillmore - Week 13, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 – Crockett Gilmore vs. San Diego
Crockett Gilmore didn’t catch a pass last week against the Saints, and as the number two tight end on the Ravens roster, there’s no reason to expect that he’ll get more looks this week against a San Diego defense that has been very successful defending the tight end position in 2014. Leave him on waviers.

BAL TE Crockett Gillmore - Week 12, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 – Crockett Gilmore vs. New Orleans
Crockett Gilmore didn’t catch a pass in his last game, as the Ravens played the Tennessee Titans in Week 10 before the bye. Gilmore remains the second tight end on the depth chart in Baltimore behind starter Owen Daniels and has little to no chance of increasing his role while Daniels is healthy. Gilmore is an intriguing long term prospect for the Ravens, but seems a long way from becoming a viable fantasy option, barring injury. Leave him on waivers.

BAL TE Crockett Gillmore - Week 9, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 – Crockett Gilmore vs. Pittsburgh
Crockett Gilmore filled in for the injured Owen Daniels last week, putting up 23 yards on a pair of receptions as the Ravens lost to the Bengals. Gilmore has raw talent and athleticism, but until he shows the ability to refine his route running and become a consistent target for quarterback Joe Flacco, he remains a very risky option for fantasy owners. He may gain some value at some point this season, especially if Daniels remains out, but he’s too risky at this point to add to your roster.

BAL TE Crockett Gillmore - Week 8, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 – Crockett Gilmore vs. Cincinnati
Crockett Gilmore had one catch for 13 yards against the Falcons last week as he remains entrenched as the backup tight end in Baltimore. Unless something happens to starter Owen Daniels, there’s very little hope for Gilmore to gain fantasy relevance however, and he should remain on waivers until his role expands.

Update:

With Daniels now declared out, Gillmore will get the first start of his young career. The rookie has a ton of raw talent, but it's hard to recommend starting him without a sample size to work from. Fantasy owners should raise an eyebrow, but shouldn't put him in their lineups just yet.

BAL TE Crockett Gillmore - Week 7, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 – Crockett Gilmore vs. Atlanta
Crockett Gilmore had two catches for 16 yards last week against the Bucs and he continues to try to push his way into the Ravens offense. He’s not worth adding to a fantasy roster yet, but his is a name to know in case something happens to the historically oft-injured Owen Daniels

BAL TE Crockett Gillmore - Week 6, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 – Crockett Gilmore vs. Tampa Bay
Crockett Gilmore didn’t catch a pass last week and has not been used frequently in the Ravens offense yet. He’s got talent to develop and raw skills that could eventually turn him into a receiving threat, but there’s virtually no chance of him taking over the lead tight end position in Baltimore for as long as Owen Daniels is healthy, making him a guy that should stay on waivers in fantasy.

BAL TE Crockett Gillmore - Week 5, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 – Crockett Gilmore vs. Indianapolis

Crockett Gilmore wasn’t targeted last week, but he remains the TE2 in the Baltimore offense and if he can prove himself in that role, he could get some targets in the Ravens’ 2TE sets. The Ravens like to feature a pair of pass catchers at the position, making Gilmore worth noting in large leagues. He should remain on waivers however for the time being, until he actually demonstrates an active role in the passing game, and there’s no reason to expect that this week.
