PHI TE Dallas Goedert - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Seattle
Dallas Goedert looks 100% again as he has had six catches in each of the last two games. With Zach Ertz still on the IR, Goedert is one of Carson Wentz's favorite targets. He has been a borderline TE1 even with Ertz playing and now is the clear cut best option in the Philadelphia passing game.

Goedert faces Seattle who is 10th in aFPA to tight ends. The Seahawks have had trouble with their pass defense, but have been decent against tight ends. However, Goedert should excel on Sunday night.

Start Goedert has a TE1 in all leagues and formats. Even with Wentz struggling, the tight ends are always his lifeboat in this offense.

PHI TE Dallas Goedert - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Cleveland

Dallas Goedert had his highest target total since September 20th. He caught four passes for 33 yards but more important was on the field for 93% of the snaps. If he is going to play that much, he is going to get the targets and the fantasy stats we have seen in the past.

Goedert has a great matchup against the Browns who are ranked 23rd in aFPA to tight ends. With Zach Ertz still on the IR, Goedert is a huge weapon for QB Carson Wentz. However, Wentz has to improve his play which has been shaky this season.

Start Goedert in all leagues and formats for Week 11 as a solid TE1. If the Eagles offense finally breaks out, Goedert will be right in the middle of the success.

PHI TE Dallas Goedert - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at New York Giants
Dallas Goedert returned from the IR against Dallas and had only one target and one catch. However, he did play 84% of the snaps which is a sign he is healthy. Before the injury, Goedert was a consistent low-end TE1 or worst case a high-end TE2. With Zach Ertz still out, we expect Goedert to have a good game.

The Giants have been good against tight ends this season ranked 6th in aFPA to the position. However, the New York defense overall has not been good. We think Goedert will be a big part of the Eagles offensive game plan. Start him in all leagues and formats as a TE1 for Week 10.

PHI TE Dallas Goedert - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Cincinnati
After two weeks, Dallas Goedert has actually been targetted more than his teammate Zach Ertz (17-14) and better overall numbers. But after a 100+ receiving yard game in Week 1, Goedert dropped to only 30 yards in Week 2. We still expect Ertz to be the better fantasy tight end this season, but what this does do is shows Goedert is a legit fantasy option at the position,

Goedert will face Cincinnati who is 18th in aFPA to tight ends. We expect the Eageles offense to wake up this Sunday against a Bengals defense that didn't get much better from 2019.

Start Goedert as a low-end TE1 for Week 3. The Eagles will focus on getting Wentz in a better mindset and that will benefit Philly's tight ends which makes Goedert a good play.

PHI TE Dallas Goedert - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs Los Angeles Rams
It happens every once in awhile and did last week, but Dallas Goedert had the best offensive day of any Eagle including Zach Ertz. Goedert had eight receptions for 101 yards and a touchdown. Teams will learn if they are going to pay attention to Ertz, Goedert will burn you.

The next opponent is the Rams who are 26th in aFPA to tight ends. This is a good matchup for a team that depends on their tight ends. Start Goedert as a low-end TE1, but last week showed what he is capable of any week.

PHI TE Dallas Goedert - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 at Washington
Dallas Goedert is one of the stranger fantasy players. He's a backup on his real team, but can be a starter on your fantasy team. After a solid rookie season, Goedert had 55 receptions in 2019 which was 9th in the NFL. That pretty much says it all.

Goedert has a great matchup against Washington who was 27th in aFPA to tight ends last season. He should have a big game on Sunday as he is becoming more of a target for QB Carson Wentz.

Start Goedert as a low-end TE1 for Week 1. He has the potential to have a big game any week and the Eagles still like their tight ends better than their receivers.

PHI TE Dallas Goedert - 2020 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
Dallas Goedert is a very unique fantasy player. He has a ranking as a fantasy starter despite being the backup on his team. Goedert was targeted 87 times in 2019 which produced 58 receptions for 607 yards. He ranked ninth in targets among tight ends last season. The Eagles' passing game revolves around their tight ends. They ran two tight ends sets 46.1% of the time which was highest in the NFL. So, the presence of Zach Ertz doesn't take away from Goedert as much as you might think.

Fantasy Downside
Not much downside here except he is the No. 2 tight end on Philadelphia. But that is irrelevant because of where he ranks in the NFL tight end hierarchy. The only thing that means is he'll be ranked behind Ertz.

2020 Bottom Line
Goedert is the 16th tight end coming off the board and if you can get him around the 133 ADP, you are getting a bargain. He ranks No. 12 in our rankings which puts him as a low-end TE1 or high-end TE2. Either way you have him, he is going to put up good numbers from your tight end position.
