HOU TE Dalton Schultz - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Dallas Cowboys

Dalton Schultz hit a season-high with 66 receiving yards last week against the Lions. It was just his second game with at least 50 yards receiving. Now that Nico Collins is back, Schultz will drop down a rung in the pecking order. Perhaps a bit of hope this week is that Dallas has allowed five touchdowns to tight ends this season, third-most in the league. He's a streaming option this week but no better than a mid-tier TE2. He also plays on Monday, so if you feel you have a better option on Sunday, go ahead and roll with him.

Week 10 vs. Detroit Lions

Even with Nico Collins and Stefon Diggs out, Dalton Schultz isn't making a lot of noise from a fantasy perspective. Week 9 against the Jets was Schultz's sixth game this season with less than 30 yards receiving. He has reached four catches in a game just three times. He may be in for another quiet night Sunday. The Lions have allowed the second-fewest yards to opposing tight ends. Schultz is a mid-tier TE2 this week,

HOU TE Dalton Schultz - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. New York Jets

Dalton Schultz broke 50 yards for the first time this season. For the time being, he can be considered the second option in the passing game. Nico Collins is out at least one more week and Stefon Diggs is now out for the season. Those targets have to go somewhere. Why not Schultz? He faces the Jets this week who is in the middle of the pack in fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends. He's a borderline TE1 this week.

HOU TE Dalton Schultz - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Indianapolis Colts

Dalton Schultz had a nice 28-yard catch last week against the Packers. That was his only catch of the day. Schultz still has yet to reach 40 receiving yards in a game. He's down in the pecking order on a team that wants to circle their offense around Joe Mixon on the ground. The Colts have allowed four touchdowns to tight ends this season, but even with that, Schultz is a TE2 and streaming option at best this week.

Week 7 at Green Bay Packers

Dalton Schultz saw a season-high eight targets last week against the Patriots, helped by the absence of Nico Collins. That still only equated to 27 yards on four catches. Schultz has yet to reach 40 receiving yards in a game this season. The good news for this week is the Packers have allowed the most catches to a tight end this season (37). Schultz is still considered a TE2 until we see more output but there is some upside this week.

HOU TE Dalton Schultz - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at New England Patriots

Could Dalton Schultz be more involved if Nico Collins is out? He did see six targets last week against the Bills in a game that Collins left fairly early. Still, he only ended up with 34 yards again, his highest output this season. Consider Schultz still as a TE2 but with some upside going into a Week 6 matchup with the Patriots.

Week 5 vs. Buffalo Bills

With plenty of other mouths to feed in the passing game, Dalton Schultz hasn't been asked to do much so far this season. That obviously has led to a quiet start in fantasy circles with just ten catches for 82 yards. He'll get a few targets, but he's just a streaming option and a TE2 this week against the Bills, who have allowed one touchdown to a tight end this season.
