Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (finger) uncertain for first two games

DeVante Parker has been out the last three weeks with a broken middle finger, and while a source says he is feeling substantially better, there is still some uncertainty whether he will be ready for the first or even second game of the season.

The story said Parker was seen in the locker room with a protective covering over the injured hand Sunday. Parker is listed as the team's top WR. Grant is his backup.

Adam Gase said DeVante Parker doesn't know yet if he can play Week 1 vs. Tennessee. We're two weeks away from the opener.

Fantasy Impact: 

The tweet said Parker still can't catch balls because of his finger injury. Parker seems like a huge question mark heading into Week 1. We have Stills as the team's top WR but Amendola and Wilson will get a bump up if Parker can't go.

Roles on this Patriots club certainly haven't been set in stone with preseason games still yet to get underway, but Rex Burkhead might be a potential weapon for New England on special teams—with the second-year Patriot spending the last couple of practices catching punts alongside players like Cyrus Jones, Chris Hogan, Patrick Chung, and Julian Edelman.

While Edelman and Chung have had some experience as punt returners, the Patriots' go-to option last season, Danny Amendola, departed for the Dolphins this offseason, while Cyrus Jones is still coming back from an ACL injury that sidelined him for the entire 2017 campaign.

Fantasy Impact: 

Burkhead said he's willing to do anything to help the team. The story said Burkhead is looking like he's in store for a lot of reps this season as a runner and pass-catcher in the offense.

Dolphins see WR Albert Wilson as an outside WR

At HC Adam Gase's press conference, he was asked about WR Albert Wilson and his role with the team.

"He's not a slot [receiver]," said Gase. "He's an outside guy."

Gase went on to say Wilson has a larger skillset which is suited for the outside.

Fantasy Impact: 

The media seemed to try to compare Amendola with Wilson, but Gase was quick to point out the two play different positions. Gase wouldn't commit to a role for any of the receivers and said a rotation will need to be set. We list Wilson third on the depth chart behind Stills and Parker, but it doesn't seem like he'll be in the slot with Parker and Stills on the field.
