NYG WR Darius Slayton - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Washington Commanders

Darius Slayton had a modest 63 yards on three receptions last week. Slayton isn’t lighting the world on fire, but over his last five games, he’s averaging 6.4 targets and 73.6 yards per game. He’s also scored two touchdowns in that same span.

Slayton has an above-average matchup this week against the Commander, who rank 19th in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. His numbers aren’t likely to reach WR1 territory, but he has WR3 value for fantasy teams needing someone to step in and produce a reasonable floor.

NYG WR Darius Slayton - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Dallas Cowboys

Darius Slayton caught five balls for 86 yards against the Lions last week, and he was targeted a season-high 10 times. Slayton has been the only receiver worth considering in fantasy for the Giants over the past few weeks, but it’s still risky to trust pass-catchers in New York. They have a tough matchup against Dallas this week, as the Cowboys rank 11th in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. In a tough matchup, we have Slayton just outside WR3 territory and fantasy managers should look elsewhere if possible.

NYG WR Darius Slayton - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Detroit Lions

Darius Slayton seems to be the best option in the Giants passing game with at least four targets in three straight games. He’s coming off a three-catch, 95 yards, and a touchdown performance against the Texans last week. However, this offense is hard to trust and four targets isn’t the kind of volume that inspires confidence in fantasy lineups. Against the Lions this week, who rank 21st in aFPA to opposing wide receivers, Slayton is an interesting deep-league option as a WR3. It’s a nice matchup and his recent targets make him at least worth rostering in deeper formats.

NYG WR Darius Slayton - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Houston Texans

Darius Slayton had five catches for 66 yards against the Seahawks before the bye last week. He’s had two straight games with double-digit PPR points, but he’s still attached to a pretty subpar passing offense and will face a tough secondary that ranks ninth in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. Also, Kenny Golladay may return to action this week. That might mean nothing, but it also might eat into Slayton’s snaps. Be cautious this week and keep Slayton out of lineups.

NYG WR Darius Slayton - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Seattle Seahawks

Darius Slayton had a nice game against the Jaguars last week, catching three balls for 58 yards and a touchdown. It was his first touchdown of the season and he was second on the team with six targets. While it’s good to see Slayton’s role increasing on the team, he’s too risky to trust in fantasy leagues, especially against a tough Seattle secondary. The Seahawks rank fifth in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. He’s worth a speculative roster addition in deeper leagues, but he should remain on the bench this week.

NYG WR Darius Slayton - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Baltimore Ravens

Darius Slayton had his turn as the primary receiver in New York last week, catching six of his seven targets for 79 yards. The Giants have been very inconsistent in their passing game and aren’t prolific enough to bank on any one receiver to put up big numbers, so fantasy managers should still shy away from Slayton. He might be worth a speculative roster addition in deeper leagues, but keep him out of lineups for the time being.

NYG WR Darius Slayton - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Los Angeles Chargers

Darius Slayton had two catches on seven targets for 13 yards last week against the Dolphins. He has some upside this week in what should be a negative game script against the Chargers, but with a shaky quarterback situation and the inconsistencies of the Giants’ offense in general, it’s probably best to leave Slayton on waivers.
