NYG WR Darius Slayton - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Miami Dolphins

Darius Slayton has been healthy for a couple of weeks in a row and has a nice matchup against a struggled Dolphins secondary, but he’s still not producing consistently enough to warrant serious fantasy consideration. Leave him on waivers in most formats.

NYG WR Darius Slayton - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Kansas City Chiefs

Darius Slayton returned from his hamstring injury last week and caught a respectable five of nine targets for 63 yards. It was good to see him lead the team in targets, although that’s really only sustainable as long as the Giants’ top three wide receivers are all injured again. Keep him in mind this week in a great matchup against the Chiefs, but be ready to pull him out if Sterling Shepard or Kenny Golladay are active. We have him ranked just outside WR3 territory with Shepard set to go, but he’ll be worth considering if Shepard is a late scratch again.

NYG WR Darius Slayton - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Dallas Cowboys

Darius Slayton was disappointing last week against the Ravens, catching just two balls for 26 yards. However, he was targeted eight times, his third consecutive game with that many balls thrown his way. That gives him some boom-bust upside in a great matchup against the Cowboys, but he’s very risky. He has just as much chance of netting you a big goose egg as he has of getting you double-digit points off a long touchdown. Look elsewhere for someone safer if possible.

NYG WR Darius Slayton - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Baltimore Ravens

Darius Slayton has been wildly inconsistent this year – mostly bad – as the Giants’ passing offense has struggled severely. He has some upside this week, coming off 17 targets and 105 yards over his last two games, but he’s too risky to trust in most leagues. He hasn’t scored a touchdown since mid-October, and he’s caught just 55% of his targets on the season. Sit him.

NYG WR Darius Slayton - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Cleveland Browns

Darius Slayton had nine targets last week, his most since 11/2 against the Buccaneers, but he caught just three of them for 31 yards. Slayton has talent, but he has a total of four catches and 45 yards over his last three games. The Giants offense has been dreadful this season, and there’s really no reason to be optimistic about it for the final three contests. Slayton is too risky to have active in any lineups.

NYG WR Darius Slayton - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Arizona Cardinals

Darius Slayton has talent, but has been a mostly famine option, with the occasional feast all year. He had just one catch on one target for 14 yards last week in what should’ve been a good matchup against the Seahawks. He was held catchless the week before on two targets. He has a nice matchup against the Cardinals this week, but matchups haven’t helped him the last two weeks, so fantasy owners should avoid the risk if possible. He’s a boom-or-bust option, and should be considered a risky WR3 option at best – even if Daniel Jones returns.

NYG WR Darius Slayton - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Seattle Seahawks

Darius Slayton had a big goose egg on just two targets in a great matchup against the Bengals last week. While he has a fantastic matchup against the Seahawks next on the schedule, it’s hard to trust him when his production has been so spotty, especially if Colt McCoy is the starting quarterback, as is expected. Slayton is a desperation starter at best, hoping for a big play that probably won’t happen. Sit him.
