Scouting report

PIT RB DeAngelo Williams - Week 19, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Divisional Round at Kansas City
The Steelers figure to go run-heavy in the rain this week, and though Williams saw just a couple of carries last week, he could get a handful in this one. That won't be enough to help your fantasy team, however.

PIT RB DeAngelo Williams - Week 17, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Cleveland
Le'Veon Bell will sit this one out, meaning Williams will get his first extended playing time since Week 2, when he had 94 yards on 32 carries in a win over Cincinnati. He's been sitting out after having a meniscus surgery after Week 9 but he's been healthy the past few weeks. He just hasn't played as Bell has gotten all the work. He'll likely be limited to 20 or so touches in this game, getting just enough work to make sure he's ready for the playoffs. But against Cleveland's defense, 20 touches could certainly add up to a good day. Williams is a solid starting option this week given the opponent.

PIT RB DeAngelo Williams - Week 7, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. New England
Williams got just three carries last week for 10 yards and is dealing with some inflammation in his left knee. But he should be OK to play this week and the Steelers figure to lean on their running game. But he'll get just a handful of carries.

PIT RB DeAngelo Williams - Week 4, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Kansas City
Williams managed just 21 yards on nine carries last week and now takes a seat thanks to the return of Le'Veon Bell. He'll still get some carries here and there, but he's no longer a fantasy starter.

PIT RB DeAngelo Williams - Week 3, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Philadelphia
DeAngelo Williams leads the NFL with 237 yards rushing after gaining 94 yards on 32 bruising carries against Cincinnati. He also caught four passes and scored a touchdown. You'd better enjoy the production, however, as it will dry up in another week when Le'Veon Bell returns. That said, Philadelphia is giving up a healthy 4.7 yards per carry. That will be awfully tempting for the Steelers to attack. They want to force the Eagles into a shootout so they can force Carson Wentz into mistakes. Williams should be a strong start this week in all formats.

PIT RB DeAngelo Williams - Week 2, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. Cincinnati
After rushing for 143 yards and two TDs subbing for Le'Veon Bell last week, Williams now faces a Cincinnati defense that was gashed by the Jets running backs for 137 yards on the ground last week. Cincinnati will play a lot of two-deep zone defense which dictates plenty of running once again for the Steelers. Williams gained 203 yards and two scores in basically a game and a half last season in two games against Cincinnati. He's a very safe bet to put up big yardage again. The NFL's leading rusher after one week is a must-play.
