Scouting report

OAK WR Denarius Moore - Week 10, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 – Denarius Moore vs. Denver Broncos
Way down the depth chart these days, Denarius Moore pitched a shutout last Sunday. The one-time promising prospect has just 11 catches for 87 yards. He will remain a fixture on the waiver wire unless some unforeseen developments take place.

OAK WR Denarius Moore - Week 9, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 – Denarius Moore at Seattle Seahawks
There might be a few owners out there who would have a soft spot for Denarius Moore based on his brief runs of productivity in past seasons, but this is a bottom line game. After catching one pass last Sunday in Cleveland, Moore has just 11 receptions so far in 2014. He will continue to deserve a place on the waiver wire unless he unexpectedly jumps higher on the Oakland depth chart.

OAK WR Denarius Moore - Week 8, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 – Denarius Moore at Cleveland Browns
Although the Raiders have shown some signs of hope recently, their fourth receiver is not going to have fantasy value. And their fourth receiver is currently Denarius Moore, who caught one pass for 13 yards in week seven. Moore, who has more talent than most backups, might be worth a look if a larger role comes his way, but he is useless at the moment.

OAK WR Denarius Moore - Week 7, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 – Denarius Moore vs. Arizona Cardinals
Once upon a time, Denarius Moore was the golden boy of the Oakland wide receivers. He was the sleeper fantasy owners embraced. However, Moore’s inconsistency caught up with him and he has been completely overshadowed by players such as James Jones and Andre Holmes. Barring an unexpected trip back up the depth chart, Moore is destined to spend 2014 in anonymity.

OAK WR Denarius Moore - Week 4, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 – Denarius Moore vs. Miami Dolphins
When we last saw Denarius Moore, he was unable to corral a pass from Derek Carr that ended up in the hands of veteran New England defensive lineman Vince Wilfolk, ending Oakland’s chances of pulling off a highly improbable upset over the Patriots. Before that gaffe, Moore was not doing anything special, with three receptions for 23 yards. He has started the season in horrible fashion, with eight receptions for 60 yards through three games. The promise Moore showed earlier in his career appears to be gone, although he will get an opportunity to start righting the ship with Rod Streater out of action. Until Moore shows tangible signs of progress, he does not belong on your team.

OAK WR Denarius Moore - Week 3, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 – Denarius Moore at New England Patriots
Through two games, Denarius Moore has hauled in five passes for 37 yards. While the highly inconsistent Moore is off the fantasy radar to begin with, he is especially undesirable this week given New England’s powerful pass defense.

OAK WR Denarius Moore - Week 2, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 – Denarius Moore vs. Houston Texans

Denarius Moore, whose roster spot was not completely assured during training camp, ended up starting on opening weekend for Oakland. He did not do much as a starter, catching two passes for eight yards while Rod Streater and James Jones ended up scoring touchdowns. If there was a positive, it was that Moore was targeted eight times by new starting quarterback Derek Carr. Moore has always been an up-and-down player and will be down again on Sunday.
