Scouting report

TEN RB Derrick Henry - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at San Francisco 49ers

Derrick Henry was given just 8 carries last week, which he turned into only 20 yards. He salvaged the day with a touchdown run, but you can't count on that each week. Henry is still getting secondary carries to DeMarco Murray and there doesn't seem to be any end in sight to that. Use Henry as a FLEX play and hope he has another breakout game.

TEN RB Derrick Henry - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Arizona Cardinals

Henry got his usual mish-mosh of carries last week (11) but produced 109 yards and a touchdown thanks to a 75-yard run late in the game. Outside of that, he wasn't exactly tearing it up. And he continues to see fewer touches than DeMarco Murray. As the second back in a baffling timeshare, he's just not to be counted on in a given week as anything more than a FLEX play unless you're really feeling lucky.

TEN RB Derrick Henry - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Houston Texans

With DeMarco Murray struggling the past two weeks, Derrick Henry has been the more effective runner. Last week, he had 13 carries for 79 yards and 1 catch for 10 yards. Murray is more valuable in PPR leagues, and his presence keeps Henry's value to that of a low-end RB2 or high-end FLEX play.

TEN RB Derrick Henry - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Indianapolis Colts

Derrick Henry was the more effective runner last week against the Steelers, gaining 32 yards on 7 carries, but 16 came on one run. And he failed to catch a pass while being out-touched 15-7 by DeMarco Murray. There could be enough yards to go around in this game against a soft Indianapolis defense. But that probably makes Henry a FLEX play with upside given his workload.

TEN RB Derrick Henry - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Pittsburgh Steelers

Derrick Henry had a solid day, gaining 52 yards on his 11 carries last week, but he did not catch a pass, making it an "eh" day. Henry has caught just 6 passes all season, so he's not going to give you much there. And DeMarco Murray continues to out-touch him—last week it was 18-11. That makes Henry a flex play.

TEN RB Derrick Henry - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Derrick Henry got just 8 carries—one fewer than DeMarco Murray— last week and gained 26 yards. He salvaged the day with a touchdown, though. He also had 2 catches for 10 yards but had 10 touches to 11 for Murray. This is a timeshare of the worst kind. There's no real rhyme or reason. Henry is a flex play.

TEN RB Derrick Henry - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Baltimore Ravens

After a 131-yard rushing game three weeks ago, Henry squandered a chance to unseat DeMarco Murray as the lead back by rushing for 13 yards on 13 carries against the Browns in Week 7. He should get enough touches to be used as a flex play this week. But he's not ready to take over the job from Murray just yet.
