Scouting report

BUF RB Devin Singletary - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Pittsburgh

For the first time in several weeks, Devin Singletary was on the field more than 50% of the snaps. After a Zach Moss fumble early in the game, he was on the field even more. He played 85% of the snaps and results were positive with 21 touches for 83 total yards from scrimmage. The Bills seemed to be leaning towards Moss in recent weeks but Singletary should be the primary back after what happened on Monday.

Singletary will face the Steelers who are eighth in aFPA to running backs. When Pittsburgh decides they want to focus on the run, they usually stop it, but that won't be the focus for them on Sunday night. That should give the Bills running backs some opportunities,

Start Singletary as a low-end RB3 or flex for Week 14. Even with the tough matchup, he should still get enough numbers to help your team.

BUF RB Devin Singletary - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. San Francisco
Devin Singletary had one of his best rushing days of the season averaging 7.5 yards per carry and finishing with 82 rushing yards. This happened even though he only played 40% of snaps. Singletary also had 20 receiving yards for 102 total yards from scrimmage. He still only has one touchdown on the season.

Singletary will face San Francisco who are 6th in aFPA to running backs. Even though he had better numbers, Zach Moss is still seeing the field more, so that is an issue for Singletary owners.

Keep Singletary on the bench for Week 13. The lack of touchdowns is a big reason, but the tough matchup should limit the Bills running backs.

BUF RB Devin Singletary - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Los Angeles Chargers
Devin Singletary had five touches for 10 yards in the last Buffalo game. Although he is still getting on the field, Zack Moss is getting more touches and yardage. The running backs for the Bills have struggled as a whole and the bye week might give the team a chance to fix things.

Singletary has a favorable matchup against the Chargers who are 25th in aFPA to running backs. Despite the Bills' offense being much improved in 2020, the running backs have not blossomed from a fantasy standpoint.

Keep Singletary on the bench for Week 12. His numbers have not been good and Moss is the preferred back at this point.

BUF RB Devin Singletary - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Arizona
In a shootout with Seattle last week, the running backs were an afterthought. Devin Singletary had five touches for 34 yards with almost all of that coming in the passing game. He has basically been splitting time with rookie RB Zack Moss which has hurt his stock this year. However, Moss was ruled out for Sunday.

Singletary will face the Cardinals who are ranked 17th in aFPA to running backs. We expect the Bills to get back to more balance this week after abandoning the running game against the Seahawks.

Start Singletary as a low-end RB2 for Week 10. He will probably play around 75% of the snaps rather than his usual 50% because of Moss being shelved.

BUF RB Devin Singletary - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Patriots
Devin Singletary's touches continue to hover around 10 per game which is limiting his fantasy results. He had averaged only 42 yards from scrimmage over the past three games while amassing zero touchdowns. And don't forget that Zack Moss has not been healthy, although in the last game Singletary fell to playing on 54% of the snaps compared to 47% for Moss.

Singletary faces the Patriots who are ranked 15th in aFPA to running backs. If the touches rise a little to maybe 15, he has a good chance to bring value to your team this week.

Start Singletary for Week 8 against New England as a high-end RB3 or flex back. Expectations were higher coming into the season, but it appears Singletary will float around the RB2/RB3 ranking each week.

BUF RB Devin Singletary - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at New York Jets
Despite Zack Moss coming back last week, a lot of people thought Devin Singletary would carry the load, but he has only averaged 11.5 touches and 39 total yards per game over the past two weeks. Without a doubt, he is the No. 1 back, but it is surprising he isn't closer to 20 touches per game.

Singletary faces an awful Jets defense for the second time this season. New York is ranked 27th in aFPA to running backs. In the first meeting, Singletary was limited to 50 total yards. We expect more this time around as the Jets are a mess.

Start Singletary as a low-end RB2. Moss should be back this week, but the matchup is too attractive and even with 12-15 touches, Singletary has value for your lineup for Week 7.

BUF RB Devin Singletary - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Kansas City
Devin Singletary was on a little bit of a roll, at least from a usage standpoint with a combined 40 touches over his last two games. However, that fell to 12 touches in the last game and 33 yards from scrimmage. Another problem is Singletary has only 1 touchdown this season and that's with the goalline guy Zack Moss out the past several weeks.

Singletary will face Kansas City who is 24th in aFPA to running backs. As long as the Bills don't get behind like they did on Tuesday, Singletary's touched should go back up to around 18-20 range. Moss is still out and the matchup is good.

Start Singletary for Week 6 as a low-end RB2. This should be a very offensive-minded contest and the second-year back should benefit from that to help your fantasy team on Monday.
