SEA WR DK Metcalf - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs 49ers

DK Metcalf always finds ways to amaze us. Last week in Arizona, it was him chasing down Budda Baker on what would have otherwise been a pick-six. That said, Metcalf only came away with two catches for 23 yards last week. That will likely be an outlier for the season, especially since Sunday was the Tyler Lockett Show. He had lines of 6-70-0 and 6-81-1 in the two games last season against the 49ers.

SEA WR DK Metcalf - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs Cardinals

You'll be hard-pressed to find a receiver that's been as consistent as DK Metcalf has this season. He has at least 92 yards in every game and has five touchdown catches. There's seemingly no stopping him as of now. He's a top ten option this week, even in what is a tough matchup against a strong Cardinals defense.

SEA WR DK Metcalf - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs Vikings

Metcalf continues to gobble up yards. He is tied with Stefon Diggs for second in the league in receiving yards with 403 yards (Allen Robinson is leading with 421 but has played five games). Metcalf has back-to-back 100-yard games and Minnesota has the fourth-worst passing defense in the NFL. He has a good chance to make it three straight. And Seattle is playing at home on primetime. Russell Wilson is usually at his best on those stages.

SEA WR DK Metcalf - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs Dolphins

When you're the second-ranked WR in fantasy on your own team and still No. 6 among all fantasy wide receivers, you know you're in the middle of something special. That's what we have this week with DK Metcalf. who has scored in every game so far (and should have had another but decided to pull his best DeSean Jackson impersonation) and is averaging almost 100 yards per game. And when you have Russell Wilson throwing the football the way he is, there is no sign of slowing down anytime soon. Let's just hope Metcalf learned to not celebrate too early, otherwise you become quite the Youtube and Twitter sensation for the wrong reasons.

SEA WR DK Metcalf - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs Cowboys

With Russ cooking, Seattle's wide receivers have been enjoying a fantastic start to the season. Metcalf nearly mirrored his numbers from Week 1 (4-95-1) in Week 2 (4-92-1). He's also played all but one offensive snap through the first two weeks. There's a reason why we have Metcalf and Tyler Lockett close together and so high on the receiver rankings. As long as Russ is cooking, there's plenty of room for both receivers to continue to shine in Seattle.

SEA WR DK Metcalf - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs Broncos

Week 1 showed that DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett are going to continue to jockey for position week in and week out. Metcalf slightly got the better of Lockett in Week 1 with 95 yards and a touchdown. Both received eight targets. Hard to go wrong with either in Week 2. Metcalf is WR22 this week.

SEA WR DK Metcalf - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

DK Metcalf has been one of the most popular picks as a breakout star for 2020 with his improved route-running and freakish size. Interestingly enough, Atlanta was one of the teams that controlled Metcalf in 2019 (at least in terms of yards), holding him to just 13 yards on three catches. Of course, two of those catches went for touchdowns. As far as this matchup, it's plenty of youth no matter who Metcalf goes up against, whether it's rookie AJ Terrell or second-year CB Isaiah Oliver. Metcalf will be boom-or-bust again early on but does sit solidly as a WR2 this week, even if he's the second-best receiving option on his own team.
