SEA WR DK Metcalf - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Chicago Bears

D.K. Metcalf managed 13.2 Half-PPR points against the Vikings, his biggest fantasy haul since he managed 17.9 in Week 7. He has ceded control of the Seahawks' passing attack to Jaxon Smith-Njigba this season, and that has seriously eroded his fantasy appeal. He's a high-end WR3 option this week against the Bears who rank 14th in aFPA to wide receivers this season.

SEA WR DK Metcalf - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs Minnesota Vikings

One of the sadder storylines of the 2024 season has been the virtual disappearance of D.K. Metcalf from fantasy relevance. He has gone weeks without a major contribution, which is a sad state of affairs ahead of a matchup that should be filling his faithful managers with joy. The Vikings rank 30th in a FPA to wide receivers this season. But Metcalf's recent form makes it almost impossible to trust him as anything more than a mid-tier WR3.

SEA WR DK Metcalf - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs Green Bay Packers

It's not been a good season, nor a recent run of games, for D.K. Metcalf. His struggles don't look like ending in Week 15, with the Packers ranking third in aFPA to wide receivers. Metcalf is a risky low-end WR2 proposition this week.

SEA WR DK Metcalf - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Arizona Cardinals

2024 is beginning to look like something of a lost season for D.K. Metcalf. He’s still a WR2 in Half-PPR points per game, but he has cleared 12 points once in his last seven outings. The Cardinals are next up for Metcalf and the Seahawks and their ranking of 13th in aFPA to wide receivers is not a good sign for Metcalf or Jaxon Smith-Njigba. It’s hard to trust Metcalf as more than a low-end WR2 in Week 14.

SEA WR DK Metcalf - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at New York Jets

The second-year breakout of Jaxon Smith-Njigba has coincided with a lukewarm run of form for D.K. Metcalf. Metcalf averaged just 9.2 Half-PPR points over his last two games. His matchup against the Jets isn’t an easy one on paper, with the Jets ranking fourth in aFPA to wide receivers. Metcalf now appears to be second chair within the Seahawks passing game, which combined with other factors makes him a risky WR2 projection in Week 13.

SEA WR DK Metcalf - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs Arizona Cardinals

D.K. Metcalf had a fairly quiet fantasy day on his return to the Seahawks last week, scoring 10.5 Half-PPR points. Metcalf is the WR16 in points per game this season. If he can command his usual workload, then he should be able to justify low-end WR1 consideration against the Cardinals in Week 12. The Cards rank 11th in aFPA to wide receivers this year, but the Seahawks are airing the ball out, and that benefits the likes of Metcalf and Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

SEA WR DK Metcalf - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at San Francisco 49ers

D.K. Metcalf practiced in full this week and should be able to return to action for the Seahawks. Metcalf is the WR16 in Half-PPR points per game with 12.6 and has scored a touchdown in two of his last three trips to the 49ers. He won’t be in for an easy time of it, especially with the Niners ranking sixth in aFPA to wide receivers, but he should be able to deliver WR2 numbers for his fantasy managers.
