Scouting report

CLE RB Duke Johnson - Week 17, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Pittsburgh
Duke Johnson has been relevant in a few games this season, but he certainly hasn’t been consistent. He’s only eclipsed 35 rushing yards twice this season, and hasn’t had a huge impact catching the ball, either.

There’s a chance he finds some success this week against the Steelers if they rest some of their starters, but he’d be a hard player to trust given his limited touches. He’ll be a flex RB3 option at best.

CLE RB Duke Johnson - Week 16, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Duke Johnson - Week 16 vs. San Diego
Duke Johnson had one of his better games this season last week as he finished with 93 total yards. He had a solid bump in PPR formats as well, adding five receptions. But he didn't score in the matchup, and still has just one touchdown on the season.

Johnson gets an unfavorable matchup this week against the Chargers, although he could find some success in the passing game. Still, it's hard to trust Johnson this week considering his low output in most games.

He's nothing more than a low-end flex play in PPR formats.

CLE RB Duke Johnson - Week 15, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Buffalo
Duke Johnson came into the season as an expected PPR goldmine, but he's on pace to finish with less receptions than he did last year. He had just one catch last week, and only four carries on the ground.

There's a chance he has some production against a poor Bills rush defense in Week 15, but that'd be taking a big risk. Johnson is best left untouched this week.

CLE RB Duke Johnson - Week 14, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Cincinnati
Duke Johnson is averaging nearly 57 yards per game, and has just one touchdown on the season. He's had three receptions in three straight games, which doesn't add much in PPR formats. In fact, Isaiah Crowell is getting more receptions in recent weeks.

Johnson gets a decent matchup this week against the Bengals, but he's only really usable if you're desperate. The yards and receptions haven't been there this season.

CLE RB Duke Johnson - Week 12, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. New York Giants
The hope this season for Duke Johnson would be that he'd be the receiving back in Cleveland. But now, passing game duties are split between him and Isaiah Crowell. In fact, Crowell had more receptions (5) last week than Johnson (3).

Not only is Johnson not producing at a high level, but he'll get a less-than-favorable matchup this week against the Giants. If you're desperate, he's a very low-end flex play, but otherwise, it's best to seek other options.

CLE RB Duke Johnson - Week 11, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Pittsburgh
Duke Johnson hasn't been a star this season, but he's had some flex-worthy games. His main downfall is he's only scored one touchdown the entire season.

Johnson will get a favorable matchup this week against the Steelers, who have allowed the second-most fantasy points to opposing backs this season. There's also a chance Johnson gets some extra snaps, as the Browns will be trying to keep up with Pittsburgh's offense.

Johnson will be an RB3/flex option with upside this week.

CLE RB Duke Johnson - Week 10, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Baltimore
Duke Johnson has had a few good games this season, but he's never really been much more than a flex play. He's only topped 100 scrimmage yards once, and has only scored one touchdown on the season.

Johnson could struggle this week against the Ravens, who have allowed the fewest fantasy points to opposing backs. In his Week 2 game against Baltimore, Johnson finished with 12 rushing yards and 44 receiving yards on four catches.

Duke should be viewed as a low-end flex play, or RB3 in Week 10.
