NYG QB Eli Manning - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Arizona Cardinals

Eli Manning blew up against the Eagles last week, throwing for 434 yards and 3 touchdowns in a narrow defeat. While those numbers are encouraging, it was only the second time this season he’s thrown for more than 300 yards, and only the sixth time he’s had more than 1 touchdown. The Cardinals defense has struggled this year compared to recent seasons, but Manning is too inconsistent and the Giants offense is too banged up to trust him in any leagues.

NYG QB Eli Manning - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Eli Manning returned to the starting lineup last week against the Cowboys and threw for 228 yards, a touchdown, and a pair of interceptions in a lopsided loss. Manning is having a dreadful season, averaging only 220 yards and 1.25 touchdowns per game. Against a tough Eagles defense this week, there’s no reason to expect him to suddenly put up big fantasy numbers. He should remain on waivers in all league formats.

NYG QB Eli Manning - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Dallas Cowboys

Eli Manning was benched last week, but will return to action against the Cowboys. The Giants offense is a mess and Manning has averaged only 219 yards and 1.27 touchdowns per game this season. While the Cowboys are below-average against the pass this year and have given up the 11th-most points to opposing quarterbacks, it’s hard to trust Manning to deliver during this crucial part of the fantasy season. He should likely stay on waivers in most leagues.

NYG QB Eli Manning - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Washington

Eli Manning had 205 yards against the Chiefs last week, without any touchdowns or interceptions. While the Giants came away with the win, fantasy owners were disappointed by the results of what should have been a lucrative matchup opportunity. Manning has failed to put up consistent numbers in the past, but this season he’s been consistently bad.

Even in a good matchup this week against Washington, it’s hard to trust Manning. Fantasy owners should continue to leave him on waivers, outside of deep two-quarterback leagues.

NYG QB Eli Manning - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Eli Manning had 273 yards and a pair of touchdowns against the 49ers last week. While he didn’t throw a pick, and those are pretty decent numbers overall, the fact he did it against the struggling 49ers defense, and that he only tallied 273 yards in a game where the Giants trailed for most of the game, isn’t a good sign.

This week, Manning has upside against the Chiefs, who have struggled against the pass this year, allowing the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. However, unless you’re in a league that starts two quarterbacks, it’s hard to trust Manning.

NYG QB Eli Manning - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at San Francisco 49ers

Eli Manning hasn’t been very good this season, averaging only 228 yards and 1.5 touchdowns per game. He’s coming off 220 yards, 2 touchdowns, and a pick against the Rams last week, and he has a horrible offensive line and a depleted receiving corps. The Giants are a mess on offense and they’ve limped to a 1-7 record to start the season.

This week, Eli has a little upside going up against the 49ers, who are allowing the third-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this season. Eli is still way too shaky to trust, but if you’re desperate and need a streaming quarterback or a QB2 option, then the matchup says you can use him.

NYG QB Eli Manning - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Los Angeles Rams

Eli Manning had only 134 yards and a touchdown against the Seahawks in Week 7 before the bye, and he’s been very disappointing as a fantasy option this season. He’s averaging only 229 yards and 1.42 touchdowns per game, and the Giants have only won a single game as we approach the half-way mark.

The Rams have been a top-10 defense against the pass this year, and they’re tied for fifth in the league with 9 interceptions. Even in good matchups, Eli is too risky to start, but this week, he should especially be avoided.
