Scouting report

NYG QB Eli Manning - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Washington Redskins

Eli Manning had 283 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a win over the Dolphins last week, but he also threw three interceptions. Manning has always been inconsistent throughout his career, and old age has certainly not made his play any less erratic. Washington hasn’t been terrible on defense this season despite a dismal record, and they actually rank 11th in aFPA to opposing quarterbacks this season, making Eli a bad start in even deep leagues. He should be left on waivers in most formats.

Update: Daniel Jones is set to start. Eli shouldn't have been in your lineup anyway, but if he was, be sure to swap him out.

NYG QB Eli Manning - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Miami Dolphins

Eli Manning came back to the starting lineup last week against the Eagles to fill in for the injured Daniel Jones and threw for 203 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a close defeat. Manning completed just 50% of his passes but he didn’t throw an interception and connected well with rookie Darius Slayton. This week, Manning has a great matchup against the Dolphins, but he’s always been so erratic it’s hard to trust him. He should be considered a last-resort option in all leagues, even those that allow two quarterbacks in your lineup.

NYG QB Eli Manning - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Philadelphia Eagles

Eli Manning will get the start with Daniel Jones ailing, but he's still not a worthwhile fantasy option, even in most 2QB leagues. He's facing an Eagles defense that ranks 13th in aFPA to opposing quarterbacks this year and has always been pretty erratic, especially in recent years. Eli has the ability to put up volume, but expecting it is a lot to ask and fantasy owners should look elsewhere if possible.

NYG QB Eli Manning - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Dallas Cowboys

Eli Manning had 309 yards, a touchdown and a pick last week against the Colts. It was only his fourth game over 300 yards this season, and while he added a rushing touchdown, it was his 10th game this year with one or fewer passing touchdowns. Manning has been disappointing as a fantasy option all season, and there’s no reason to think he’ll finish strong against the Cowboys this week. Dallas has allowed the ninth-fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this year. Manning should remain on waivers in all league formats during what could be his final game as a Giant.

NYG QB Eli Manning - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Indianapolis Colts

Eli Manning struggled against the Titans last week, throwing for 229 yards and an interception in a shutout loss. Manning hasn’t put up good fantasy numbers all year, and there’s no reason to expect that to change over the final two games of the season, regardless of matchup. Fantasy owners in all league formats should leave Manning on waivers for the rest of the year.

NYG QB Eli Manning - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Tennessee Titans

Eli Manning has helped the Giants to wins in four of the last five games, but his fantasy value remains limited. The Giants are playing good defense and ball-control offense, with Manning averaging only 216.6 yards and two touchdown passes during the last five games. There’s no reason to think that will change this week against the Titans, making Manning a risky option in all league formats, with limited fantasy value outside of very deep, two-quarterback leagues.

NYG QB Eli Manning - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Washington Redskins

Eli Manning got the win against the Bears last week, but he only managed 170 yards, a touchdown and a pick as the Giants leaned on a defensive touchdown and gadget plays to outscore Chicago. Manning has been a terrible fantasy option all season and there’s no reason to expect a good performance in any given week, regardless of matchup. Washington has some talent on the defensive side of the ball, and Manning should remain on waivers in all league formats.
