Scouting report

BUF RB Frank Gore - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs Denver
Frank Gore has been the starter most of the season, but he is definitely taking a backseat to Devin Singletary. Still, Gore got 12 touches last game and is still being used enough to keep an eye on him.

Gore will face the Broncos who are 8th in aFPA to running backs. The tough matchup pushes him to the bench for Week 12. The Bills will have a decent offensive day, but probably won't be good enough from a fantasy standpoint.

BUF RB Frank Gore - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Miami
Frank Gore has 16 carries for only 27 yards and one reception over the last two games. Devin Singletary has taken over as the No. 1 back, but Gore still is involved in the offense.

The Bills have a great matchup against Miami who is last in the NFL in aFPA to running backs. Gore had 11 carries for 55 yards the first time he played the Dolphins.

The matchup definitely gives Gore some value as we expect double-digit touches. Start him as an RB3 for Week 11.

BUF RB Frank Gore - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Cleveland
It appears rookie Devin Singletary has finally passed Frank Gore on the depth chart. However, the veteran still got 11 carries last week although it only produced 15 yards. Gore has been on the field for 34% of the snaps or less the last two weeks while Singletary got 23 touches last week.

Gore has a good matchup against Cleveland who is 21st in aFPA to running backs. We expect him to still see some time, but right now it appears the torch has been passed. He ranks a low-end RB3 for Week 10.

BUF RB Frank Gore - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs Washington
Frank Gore only had nine touches last week which was a season-low. He only played on 29% of the offensive snaps. Devin Singletary actually was on the field for 68% of the snaps but had fewer touches than Gore. So, there hasn't been a passing of the torch to the rookie quite yet.

Gore still has value and will face the Redskins are 18th in aFPA to running backs. Until we see him consistently have a reduced role, he still has an edge in standard leagues. Start Gore as a high-end RB3 or flex for Week 9.

BUF RB Frank Gore - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs Philadelphia
Frank Gore had his lowest amount of touches last week since Week 1. That's mostly because of the return of Devin Singletary from injury. Gore ended up with 66 yards from scrimmage against the Dolphins.

Gore will face the Eagles this week who are ranked sixth in aFPA to running backs. Philly has been more susceptible to the pass so the Bills might focus the game plan in that direction.

Start Gore as an RB3 for Week 8. He will get 10 to 12 touches, but don't expect much from him as Singletary and he will split the touches out of the backfield moving forward.

BUF RB Frank Gore - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs Miami
Frank Gore has been a surprise so far this season averaging 16 touches per game. When the Bills traded LeSean McCoy, many thought Gore would be a backup, but he has carried the Buffalo running game.

Gore will face the Dolphins who are dead last in aFPA to running backs. We don't expect any more action this week, but his results should be better.

Start Gore as a low-end RB2 for Week 7. The matchup is a positive one for the Buffalo offense and Gore has shown he is still producing at the age of 36.

BUF RB Frank Gore - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Tennessee
Frank Gore had his first 100+ rushing yard day as a member of the Bills and his touches have been very consistent through the first quarter of the season, Gore also eclipsed the 15,000 rushing yard mark for his career and is still playing at a high level. Devin Singletary is due to come back this week but it seems like Gore has become the featured back.

The Bills face the Titans who are 14th in aFPA to running backs. With Singletary set to return, Gore's touches will be scaled back, but Gore still ranks the best option from the Bills backfield. He does have some fantasy value to start him as an RB3 or flex for Week 5 against Tennessee.
