Scouting report

NYJ WR Garrett Wilson - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Miami Dolphins
Garrett Wilson ended up with 14 targets on Sunday, which tied a season-high. He ended up with nine receptions for 108 yards in what was the Jets best offensive performance all season. Although, it probably won't repeat this week, Wilson is still getting numbers no matter how New York plays.

Wilson faces the Dolphins who are ranked 24th in aFPA to wide receivers. In the first meeting, he was targeted 10 times and had seven receptions although it only produced 44 yards. He did have one of his three touchdowns this season against Miami.

Start Wilson in all leagues and formats as a solid WR2. The Jets will probably go back to having a horrible offense, but Wilson should still get his fantasy numbers with this favorable matchup.

NYJ WR Garrett Wilson - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Houston Texans
Garrett Wilson caught three passes for 50 yards last week despite the Jets offense being a mess. The last three games have been tough for him with the quarterback situation unstable for New York. The talent is there, but the confidence in the overall offense is not.

Wilson faces Houston who is ranked 23rd in aFPA to wide receivers. Even with a favorable matchup, it's hard to rank him what his talent would dictate and with Zach Wilson going back to being the starting quarterback, who knows if that will hurt or help.

Start Wilson as a WR3 or Flex for Week 14. It should be another ugly day for the Jets and that will limit his fantasy production once again.

NYJ WR Garrett Wilson - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Atlanta Falcons
Fantasy managers who have Garrett Wilson on their roster were happy to see the Jets throw the ball 38 times. This was because they were behind and not what New York wants to do with their current quarterback situation. Wilson was targeted 10 times for seven receptions which included a touchdown. However, he only had 44 receiving yards.

Wilson faces the Falcons who are ranked sixth in aFPA to wide receivers. With the combination of a tough matchup and a struggling offense, Wilson's fantasy stock is lower than usual and drops him to a low-end WR2 for Week 13.

NYJ WR Garrett Wilson - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Miami Dolphins
Unfortunately for Garrett Wilson's managers, he has underachieved in fantasy this year, and it's not really because of him. The quarterback situation has killed the Jets offense and last week Wilson hit a low for 2023 with two receptions for nine yards. It looked like the Jets offense got its act together as Wilson's numbers were good the previous four games before last week. But with a quarterback change, who knows where it will go?

Wilson has a favorable matchup against Miami who is ranked 30th in aFPA to wide receivers. But all the offensive questions keep his ranking down for Week 12. Start him as a low-end WR2 against the 'Fins and hope he sees the targets he saw the last time he played them (17).

NYJ WR Garrett Wilson - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Buffalo Bills
Garrett Wilson has double-digit targets in four straight games and even though the Jets' pass offense has struggled, he has been productive. He had nine receptions for 94 yards last Sunday and over that four game stretch, his lowest yardage total has been 80. All of this with Zach Wilson at quarterback.

Wilson faces the Bills who are ranked 15th in aFPA to wide receivers. In the first meeting with Buffalo this season, he had five receptions for 34 yards although he did score one of his two touchdowns.

Start Wilson as a solid WR2 for Week 11. With the amount of targets, he would normally be closer to a WR1, but we just don't trust the quarterback.

NYJ WR Garrett Wilson - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Las Vegas Raiders
Garrett Wilson had double-digit targets for the fourth time in the last five games. He ended up with seven receptions for 80 yards and despite a struggling offense, Wilson has been getting good fantasy numbers.

Wilson faces the Raiders who are ranked 11th in aFPA to wide receivers. It appears the Jets won't be scoring a lot of points this season, but Wilson is one of a couple players on the roster good enough to thrive anyway.

Start Wilson as a low-end WR1 for Week 10. As long as the targets are there, he will continue to put up decent numbers no matter how bad the quarterback play is.

NYJ WR Garrett Wilson - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Los Angeles Chargers
Garrett Wilson has double-digit targets in three of the last four games including 13 the past Sunday. He also recorded his first 100-yard receiving game of the season. With QB Zach Wilson playing better and realizing Garrett Wilson is his best target, the receiver's stock has risen.

Wilson faces a bad Chargers defense and this is another opportunity for a big game. Considering how the Jets have made a concerted effort to get him the ball, double-digit targets is probable.

Start Wilson as a solid WR1 for Week 9. With the favorable matchup and recent success for the start New York receiver, it should be a good fantasy day for Wilson.
