Scouting report

SEA QB Geno Smith - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Dallas Cowboys

Geno Smith has been regressing lately while also dealing with an elbow injury. As expected, he did not fare well against the 49ers at all, throwing for just 180 yards with an interception. It doesn’t get much easier this week as he faces the Cowboys in Dallas. Smith now has two games in the last month with less than 200 yards and no touchdowns. A quarterback that was once a weekly top-10 option is now a borderline QB2.

SEA QB Geno Smith - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. San Francisco 49ers

The Rams got to Geno Smith again. Smith did at least get to 233 yards but only threw one touchdown again and was banged up during the game. He is dealing with an elbow injury. He also has to face the 49ers on a short week. That's not a good combination when healthy. Add in the injury you're talking about a very risky play this week, especially with every team available this week.

SEA QB Geno Smith - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Los Angeles Rams

Geno Smith had a nice bounce-back last week against the Commanders, throwing for 369 yards and two touchdowns in Seattle's win. It's his third game in the last four with two touchdowns. This week, he gets the Rams for the second time this season. L.A. held Smith very much in check in Week 1. Smith had just 112 passing yards as the Rams easily took care of Seattle. Both teams have gone in opposite directions since then. The Seahawks are 6-3 while the Rams are 3-6. Of course, divisional games always take on a life of their own. Given all that, Smith checks in as a QB2 this week.

SEA QB Geno Smith - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Washington Commanders

Geno Smith certainly isn't the fantasy quarterback, or real-life quarterback, that he was in 2022. Last week was miserable for Smith and the Seahawks. However, in their defense, the Ravens' defense has been insanely good this season. Washington is a far cry from Baltimore. The Ravens rank 2nd in defensive DVOA. The Commanders are 29th. If there's a week for Smith to bounce back, it's this week. Smith is a very intriguing streaming option this week.

SEA QB Geno Smith - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Baltimore Ravens

Overall, Geno Smith hasn’t been too bad, but he now has three straight games with an interceptions and multiple interceptions in two of those games. He gets a better matchup this week against the Ravens but he needs to take better care of the football. But the good news is he has two straight games with multiple touchdowns. He’s a high-end QB2 with upside this week in Baltimore.

SEA QB Geno Smith - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Cleveland Browns

It’s understandable if last week’s performance by Geno Smith against the Cardinals will give you cause for concern this week against the Browns. Cleveland has been one of the best defenses in the NFL. They are the ones traveling, but even still, the Browns will make Sunday pretty difficult for Smith. He’s still a streaming option, but he’s certainly not near his normal spot as a top-12 passer.

SEA QB Geno Smith - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Arizona Cardinals

Geno Smith has certainly had a roller coaster of a fantasy season this year. Two games with over 300 yards, two games with under 120. He should be on the better end of his fantasy season this week against the Cardinals. He jumps into QB1 territory with six teams on a bye. He's arguably already been there, but this week, even more so. He's an intriguing daily option as well.
