KC WR Hollywood Brown - 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside

The Chiefs have a deep threat again after signing Hollywood Brown in free agency. Brown's time in Arizona wasn't exactly the greatest, including last year's disappointing line of 51-574-4. But now in Kansas City, Brown has a chance to right the ship and get back to the vertical threat he was while in Baltimore. Having Patrick Mahomes as his quarterback will make the road much smoother. Brown is easily an upgrade over Marquez Valdes-Scantling.

Fantasy Downside

The Chiefs still have other options in the passing game, including Travis Kelce, Rashee Rice, and rookie Xavier Worthy. Don't be surprised if there are weeks where Brown is quiet while others are making the noise. Brown will be up and down in fantasy land.

2024 Bottom Line

Brown should fit in much better in Andy Reid's offense than he did in Arizona and will have much better quarterback play than he did last season. He'll be boom or bust, as vertical threats sometimes are. But for a mid-round pick as a WR3/4, he's worth the roll of the dice here.

ARI WR Marquise Brown - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. San Francisco 49ers

Marquise “Hollywood” Brown seemed noticeably bothered by an ongoing heel injury against the Steelers before the bye last week, ending up with three targets and a big goose egg in fantasy points. Brown has really struggled over the later part of the season so far, and the team has to be hoping the bye week will help him get healthy and ready for the final stretch run.

This week, Brown faces a 49ers defense that ranks 14th in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. The secondary is where to attack the 49ers - if anywhere - but it’s hard to trust Brown given his struggles this season. Consider him a low-end WR3 option this week.

ARI WR Marquise Brown - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Pittsburgh Steelers

Marquise “Hollywood” Brown caught six balls for 88 yards last week in a blowout loss to the Rams. He was targeted 12 times, more than in his previous two games combined. Hopefully, this is a sign that he and Kyler Murray are back on the same page after a pair of lackluster performances in Murray’s first two starts this season.

This week, Brown faces a Pittsburgh defense that ranks 21st in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. There’s some upside for the playmaking Brown in a pretty good matchup and coming off a busy day. However, his inconsistency this year makes him a risky start. We have him ranked as a WR3 option this week.

ARI WR Marquise Brown - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Los Angeles Rams

Marquise “Hollywood” Brown hasn’t found that lost magic with Kyler Murray yet. He has just three catches for a total of 46 yards in the two games since Murray’s return, although he does have nine targets in that span. Fantasy managers are hoping Brown will catch Murray’s eye again soon, since his big-play potential makes him an intriguing fantasy option when he’s getting consistent looks.

This week, Brown faces a Rams defense that ranks 11th in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. Until we see production from this wide receiver group, it’s hard to trust Brown, especially in a reasonably difficult matchup. Fantasy managers should consider him a risky WR3 option in this divisional tilt.

ARI WR Marquise Brown - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Houston Texans

Marquise “Hollywood” Brown was limited to just one catch on four targets last week against the Falcons, gaining 28 yards in Kyler Murray’s return to action. Better days should be ahead for the Murray-Brown connection and fantasy managers shouldn’t be too concerned by the lack of targets in Murray’s first game back.

This week, Brown faces a Houston defense that ranks 16th in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. This game could be a shootout and with Murray looking healthy, Brown has upside. We have him ranked as a quality WR3 or flex option this week.

ARI WR Marquise Brown - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Atlanta Falcons

Marquise “Hollywood” Brown struggled along with the rest of the team last week, catching four passes for just 24 yards against a tough Browns defense. The Cardinals were dismal on offense, but it was good to see Brown continue to get targets. He’s only had fewer than seven targets once all season, despite some interesting quarterback games.

This week, Brown faces an Atlanta defense that ranks sixth in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. Brown also is expected to get Kyler Murray back at quarterback, which should help, even in a tough matchup. We have Brown ranked as a quality WR2 option this week with the expected quarterback upgrade. Start him.

ARI WR Marquise Brown - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Cleveland Browns

Marquise “Hollywood” Brown has been quietly productive on a struggling offense this year, including scoring his fourth touchdown last week against his former team in a blowout loss to the Ravens. Brown ended up with only 33 yards on the day, but he was targeted nine times and had six receptions. Brown has at least seven targets in all but one game this season and he has some late-year upside if Kyle Murray comes back.

This week, Brown faces a tough Cleveland defense that ranks seventh in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. The Cardinals also traded away Joshua Dobbs, so there’s some question marks at quarterback with Kyler Murray still seemingly at least another week away. We have Brown ranked as a low-end WR3 option in what could be a tough game for the Cardinals.
