KC RB Isiah Pacheco - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Denver Broncos

Isiah Pacheco struggled to find much running room last week, but he still had a productive outing with 60 scrimmage yards and a touchdown. Pacheco caught four passes last week, which gives him three games this season with at least four receptions. For reference, he didn't have a single game with four receptions last year. Pacheco faces the Broncos (32nd aFPA) this week, a team he faced just a few weeks ago. In that game, Pacheco finished with 98 scrimmage yards. With Pacheco's high usage and the favorable matchup, he should be viewed as a strong RB1 option in Week 8.

KC RB Isiah Pacheco - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Los Angeles Chargers

Isiah Pacheco continues to dominate the Chiefs backfield in touches. Last week he ran 16 times for 62 yards and caught six passes for 36 yards. His six catches are pretty remarkable considering Pacheco didn't showcase his hands much as a rookie, catching a total of 13 passes in 17 games played. He's already caught more passes this season than he did last year. Pacheco's production should continue to be high as he gets a decent matchup against the Chargers (16th aFPA) this week. Speaking of Pacheco's increased receiving role, the Chargers have given up the 4th-most receiving yards to running backs this season. Pacheco should be viewed as a low-end RB1 option in Week 7.

KC RB Isiah Pacheco - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Denver Broncos

Isiah Pacheco had yet another solid outing in Week 5, finishing with 55 yards on the ground with a touchdown. He also caught one pass for nine yards. Pacheco has scored in three consecutive games, and has topped 60 scrimmage yards in every game after Week 1 this season. He's averaging 84.8 scrimmage yards through five games this season, which is a really nice pace. Pacheco should continue to see high levels of production this week in a favorable matchup against the Broncos. Denver is 32nd in aFPA to running backs this season, so Pacheco has a high ceiling this week. He should be viewed as an RB1 play in Week 6.

KC RB Isiah Pacheco - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Minnesota Vikings

Isiah Pacheco ran wild in Week 4 with 20 carries for a career-high 120 yards with a touchdown. He also caught three passes for 43 yards. Pacheco is off to a strong start this season with at least 50 scrimmage yards in each game and an average of 90 scrimmage yards per game. The Chiefs are utilizing Pacheco more as a receiver as well. Pacheco played in all 17 games as a rookie and finished with 13 catches. Through just four games this year he's already at 10 receptions. He gets an OK matchup this week vs. the Vikings (16th aFPA) where he should be viewed as a low-end RB1 option.

KC RB Isiah Pacheco - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at New York Jets

Isiah Pacheco had a strong outing last week, carrying the ball 15 times for 62 yards with a touchdown. He also had three targets, catching two passes for 16 yards. It was a solid game considering his last offensive touch came with 8:29 left in the third quarter as he exited early due to the blowout score. This week Pacheco faces a Jets defense that has not given up a rushing or receiving touchdown to a running back so far this season. But the Jets have given up the 7th-most rush yards to the position, so it's not a bad matchup. Pacheco can be trusted as a solid RB2 option for Week 4.

KC RB Isiah Pacheco - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs Chicago Bears

Isiah Pacheco once again led the Chiefs' backfield as he was the only player outside of Patrick Mahomes to get multiple rushing attempts in Week 2. Pacheco finished with 70 yards on 12 carries and added one catch for no yards on two targets. Pacheco also led all backs in playing time with 34 offensive snaps (51%) compared to Jerick McKinnon's 22 and Clyde Edwards-Helaire's 11. Through two games, Pacheco has 124 scrimmage yards with no touchdowns. He'll get a favorable matchup in Week 3 against the Bears who have given up the 6th-most fantasy points to running backs this season. Pacheco should be viewed a solid RB2 option in Week 3.

KC RB Isiah Pacheco - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Jacksonville Jaguars

Isiah Pacheco had an OK Week 1 game, rushing 8 times for 23 yards while catching four passes for 31 yards. Pacheco's involvement in the pass game was a nice surprise considering his four receptions in Week 1 were more than he had in any regular season game last season. Pacheco led the Chiefs' backfield in touches and playing time, although Clyde Edwards-Helaire was a little more involved than some anticipated. CEH finished with six carries and one catch while playing 22% of the offensive snaps. Pacheco looked like the best back for this offense, though, and should continue to see the most touches. He'll be a solid RB2 option in Week 2 in a middle-of-the-road matchup vs. the Jaguars.
