Week 1 vs. Detroit Lions
Isiah Pacheco nearly had 1,000 yards as a rookie (960 to be exact) despite not having a full-time role until the back half of the season. From Week 9 through Week 17, Pacheco had at least 60 scrimmage yards in every game with an average of just over 80. Granted, all of that production came after Clyde Edwards-Helaire was injured. CEH is back this year, and it's yet to be seen just how much of a role he'll have now that he's healthy. Jerick McKinnon is also in the mix as a receiving threat. Pacheco should still see the bulk of the touches in this backfield, though, especially on the ground. He should be viewed as a lower-end RB2 option as he faces the Lions in Week 1. Last season the Lions gave up the 11th-fewest average fantasy points to running backs, but that's a little misleading since they gave up the most fantasy points to QBs. The matchup shouldn't be much of a concern for Pacheco.
