Scouting report

IND TE Jack Doyle - Week 8, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Kansas City
Jack Doyle once again proved the value of a Colts tight end when one of the two Colts tight ends is out. That will be the case again this week, with Dwayne Allen's ankle injury keeping him sidelined. Last week, Doyle was featured with 10 targets. Donte Moncrief may be back, but Doyle will still have a sizable role in this offense, especially in the red zone. He's well within the top-10 TEs for Week 8.

IND TE Jack Doyle - Week 7, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Tennessee
With Dwayne Allen (ankle) likely out, Jack Doyle assumes the lion's share of tight end targets in the Colts offense, which has had fantasy value in the past when one of the Colts two tight ends have been inactive in recent years. The Titans are 18th in fantasy points allowed to tight ends this season. In Week 17 last year, Coby Fleener had 7-88-1 against the Titans. Earlier that season, Colts tight ends caught seven receptions for 83 yards, which makes Doyle a great streaming option in Week 7.

IND TE Jack Doyle - Week 6, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Houston
The Texans have not allowed more than 34 yards to all of a team's tight ends in any game this season, and they have not allowed a single score to opposing tight ends either. Doyle is not an option.

IND TE Jack Doyle - Week 5, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Chicago
Jack Doyle received one target last week against Jacksonville. As he splits work with Dwayne Allen, he is not a starting lineup option in Week 5 against Chicago.

IND TE Jack Doyle - Week 4, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Jacksonville
Doyle has carved out a role in this offense, with the same number of targets as fellow tight end Dwayne Allen. That split though makes it so both are unpredictable week-to-week in fantasy. Doyle has caught 13-of-15 targets, had a red zone target last week, and caught two touchdowns Week 1 though, and an argument could be made to start Doyle in PPR formats if Phillip Dorsett is out Sunday morning in London. It's a stretch though.

IND TE Jack Doyle - Week 3, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Doyle's targets should be monitored this week with Donte Moncrief out. It seems the Colts are more willing to use him in two TE sets than most thought coming into the season. Doyle had four receptions at Denver to Dwayne Allen's two and scored two touchdowns Week 1 to Allen's one touchdown. Doyle only has one fewer target than Allen in two weeks. Don't start him, but monitor his usage to see if the Colts go back to a 2TE base offense with Moncrief out.

IND TE Jack Doyle - Week 2, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Denver
Doyle rules! At least he did in Week 1, leading all tight ends in fantasy scoring after two touchdowns. It remains to be seen if Doyle has staying power in a TE-friendly offense, but the answer is likely no. Doyle got on the field when Allen was banged up and missed some snaps week 1. He only played in 56 percent of snaps Week 1. With Dwayne Allen's injury history though, Doyle is a player to monitor in this offense.
