Scouting report

WAS WR Jahan Dotson - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Dallas Cowboys

Jahan Dotson only finished with two receptions for 10 yards in Week 3. The good news, though, is he still saw a solid eight targets and played on 87% of the offensive snaps. So while the production wasn't there, it's still a good sign that he remained involved in the offense. Dotson doesn't offer as much upside as Terry McLaurin or Curtis Samuel in this offense, but he's still a relevant player in fantasy. He draws a tough matchup in Week 4 against the Cowboys, but he's still a decent WR4 play.

WAS WR Jahan Dotson - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Jahan Dotson continued his hot start with yet another good game. Dotson has games so far of 3-40-2 and 4-59-1. He also added on a two-point conversion last week. Dotson's been a surprising redzone threat, with two of his touchdowns being less than 10 yards in addition to his two-point conversion. Dotson does draw a tough matchup vs. the Eagles this week, though. And a lot of his production has come on scoring plays, which is difficult to maintain. Still, Dotson is a mid-tier WR3 option this week.

WAS WR Jahan Dotson - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Detroit Lions

Jahan Dotson looked good in Week 1, finishing 3-40-2 on five targets. He also lost 10 yards on a carry. It was a touchdown-heavy performance from the rookie, but it was a promising start. Even better is he played 88% of the offensive snaps, even more than Curtis Samuel who led the team in targets. Dotson only had three catches in this game, but he's obviously a big part of the offense. He should be viewed as a WR3 entering a favorable Week 3 matchup vs. the Lions.

WAS WR Jahan Dotson - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

Jahan Dotson joins Washington as the 16th overall pick in this year's NFL Draft. Dotson adds some much-needed wide receiver depth to Washington, a team that hasn't had much outside of Terry McLaurin for the past couple of seasons. Rookie wide receivers are always challenging, but Dotson is in a good spot as a true WR2 in a good-enough offense. He'll also get a favorable matchup against the Jaguars in Week 1. Dotson has some potential, but there a lot of other wide receivers with more promise in Week 1. Dotson is more in WR5 range to begin the year as we get a better understanding of his role in this offense.
