The Chargers are opening WR Joshua Palmer’s 21-day practice window. Some help on the way in the coming weeks for L.A.’s offense.

Fantasy Impact: 

Surprisingly, this could be a huge boost for the Chargers offense. The receiving group has not looked great, and Palmer was able to string together some really good performances before going down with his knee injury, including a 16-336-1 statline between Weeks 3-7. He should be rostered as a potential FLEX play if he is able to return during the fantasy playoffs.

Keenan Allen (shoulder) is back at practice today.

Fantasy Impact: 

Allen had a huge fantasy performance in Week 10, going 11-175-2 on 13 targets but was having shoulder issues after the game. He looks like he will be a full-go for Week 11 and is a must-start against the Packers on Sunday.

Chargers activate Jalen Guyton, place Joshua Palmer on injured reserve

The Chargers activated WR Jalen Guyton from injured reserve while also placing WR Joshua Palmer on IR.

Fantasy Impact: 

Palmer is out with a knee injury while Guyton was recovering from an ACL tear last season. Palmer was running as the WR2 in L.A. following the injury to Mike Williams in Week 3. Guyton will likely slide in as the WR3 for the Chargers behind Keenan Allen and Quentin Johnston to start.

Staley said WR Keenan Allen (hamstring) and TE Donald Parham Jr. (hamstring) will also do some individual work.

Fantasy Impact: 

The hope is Allen can go for Week 3 but that remains to be seen. Williams did step up with a nice fantasy game in Week 2 against the Chiefs and would be a solid play again if Allen is out. The Chargers play a late afternoon home game against the Jags so owners probably want to have a plan in place in case he can't go in Week 3.
