The Philadelphia Eagles have claimed quarterback Ian Book, according to Field Yates of ESPN. Book was a New Orleans Saints fourth-round draft pick out of Notre Dame in 2021. He appeared in one game in 2021 as a rookie, a 20-3 loss to the Miami Dolphins in which he completed 12 of 20 pass attempts for 135 yards, with 2 INTs.

If Gainwell is the lead back in these high-leverage situations, he could sneak into FLEX territory by building on his 33-reception, six-touchdown rookie season.

For how understandably worried fantasy managers are about a potential lack of a passing game, it's encouraging that we may still get WR1 usage for Brown. Where that leaves DeVonta Smith, or even Dallas Goedert is yet to be determined. We currently have Brown ranked right on the WR1/WR2 fringe due to volume concerns.
