PHI QB Jalen Hurts - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs Jacksonville Jaguars

Jalen Hurts heads into a Week 9 clash the Jaguars on a high after a 35.1-point outing against the Bengals that saw him finish as the QB1 in Week 8. Hurts is the QB6 in points per game in 2024 and should be in line for another monster outing against a Jaguars side that ranks dead last in aFPA to quarterbacks. Hurts is an elite option in all formats this week.

PHI QB Jalen Hurts - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Cincinnati Bengals

Jalen Hurts was the QB4 in Week 7 thanks to his efforts in the Eagles win over the Giants. His good fantasy form over the last few weeks has been a welcome sight for his fantasy managers, and Hurts now ranks as QB9 in fantasy points per game.

Hurts has a wonderful matchup this week against a Bengals side that ranks 28th in aFPA to quarterbacks, and is an absolute must start in all formats.

PHI QB Jalen Hurts - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at New York Giants

The return of A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith helped Jalen Hurts return to something approaching his usual standards in Week 7. He chipped in with 21.9 fantasy points, good for QB8 for the week, and is up to QB9 in points per game.

Hurts has a middling matchup against the Giants this week, who no doubt will look to blitz early and blitz often against an Eagles line without Jordan Mailata. The Giants rank 18th in aFPA to quarterbacks this season, despite their high sack totals, and Hurts should be able to get home for his managers in Week 7. He projects as a high-end QB1.

PHI QB Jalen Hurts - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs Cleveland Browns

Jalen Hurts has endured an uneven start to the 2024 season, both in reality and fantasy. He’s currently the QB12 in fantasy points per game, averaging 16.9 per outing. Fantasy managers were expecting, and hoping, for much more.

Hurts has a chance to kickstart his season against the Browns this week. The Browns are ninth in aFPA to quarterbacks this season, despite a spluttering offense doing little to help their defense. With A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith AND Lane Johnson all set to return for the Eagles, Hurts looks like an elite QB option this week.

PHI QB Jalen Hurts - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Jalen Hurts passed for 311 yards against the Falcons last week and rushed for 25 more, but he failed to register a touchdown either through the air or on the ground. He did turn the ball over twice though. He only managed 10.9 fantasy points, which put him at QB24 for the week.

Hurts will likely be without DeVonta Smith and possibly A.J. Brown this week. Still, the Bucs have been very friendly towards quarterbacks in fantasy football this season, so even shorthanded we should be positive about the matchup. His dual-threat ability keeps him in the QB1 conversation.

PHI QB Jalen Hurts - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at New Orleans Saints

It wasn’t a stellar outing for Jalen Hurts in Week 2, although his numbers were still good enough for him to finish as the QB2 for the week. Hurts threw for 183 yards and a touchdown and an interception, while also adding 83 yards and a score on the ground.
Hurts might be able to enjoy more success through the air against a Saints defense that is 13th in passing yards allowed through two weeks of the season. If he continues to see regular rushing work too, then he will remain an elite QB option in all formats.

PHI QB Jalen Hurts - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. Atlanta Falcons

It was an uneven start to the 2024 season for Jalen Hurts in Week 1. He completed less than 60% of his passes while still amassing 278 yards and two touchdowns and tossing two bad interceptions. Hurts carried the ball 13 times but could only muster 33 yards without a touchdown. He finished as the QB10 last week.

Hurts has a great chance to improve his numbers against the Atlanta Falcons this week. The Falcons were not exactly gashed by the Steelers last week, but they did surrender more than 50 rushing yards to Justin Fields, which should help Hurts considerably. Hurts is projected to be an elite producer this week.
