Week 1 vs. Green Bay Packers

Jalen Hurts projects to be one of the top-scoring fantasy quarterbacks in Week 1 of the new season, with a game against the Packers in Brazil on the slate for the Eagles. The Packers have a new defensive coordinator this season and will look to improve as a unit after ranking 21st in aFPA to quarterbacks in 2023. But any improvements are unlikely to stop Hurts from racking up fantasy points, and he can be considered a top-end QB1 this week.

PHI QB Jalen Hurts - 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook

Despite a disappointing end to the 2023 season, Jalen Hurts was still one of the most productive fantasy players over the year. Hurts passed for a career-high 3,858 yards and 23 touchdowns, while adding another 605 yards and 15 scores on the ground. Hurts was the overall QB2 in fantasy points per game.

Hurts is heading into a season of change, with new offensive coordinator Kellen Moore calling the plays in Philadelphia after a season running the offense in Los Angeles with the Chargers. It remains to be seen how much Hurts will be used as a rusher in the new offense, and also how much of an impact the loss of Jason Kelce will have on the Eagles' "Tush Push" short yardage play. But Hurts remains a high-upside fantasy option and a player who could conceivably finish as the QB1 in 2024.

PHI QB Jalen Hurts - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Arizona Cardinals
Jalen Hurts helped stop the Eagles losing streak with 301 passing yards and 34 rushing yards. He was responsible for two touchdowns as well. It wasn't an overwhelming performance, but he did what had to be done to get the win.

Hurts faces the Cardinals who are ranked 23rd in aFPA to quarterbacks. It should be a great opportunity for the Eagles offense to get playoff ready and Hurts some big numbers.

Start Hurts as the top fantasy quarterback for Week 17. A three touchdown day (air and ground combined) and over 250 passing yards are expected.

PHI QB Jalen Hurts - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. New York Giants
Jalen Hurts leaned on his running game for fantasy purposes last Monday with 82 yards and two touchdowns. On the passing side, he struggled with only 143 yards, zero touchdowns, and two interceptions. That's one upside when he is your quarterback because he can score points in either phase of the game.

Hurts faces the Giants for the first time this season. New York is ranked seventh in aFPA to quarterbacks. Hurts faced the Giants three times last year with two games productive and one game he struggled.

Even with the tough matchup against New York, Hurts ranks as the top fantasy quarterback for Week 16. Start him in all leagues and formats.

PHI QB Jalen Hurts - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Seattle Seahawks
Jalen Hurts was held without a touchdown for the first time this season and ended up with only 197 passing yards and 30 rushing yards. It was the worst game of the season for the Eagles offense, but let's chalk it up to bad day as Philly has been very good this season.

Hurts will face the Seahawks next who are ranked 12th in aFPA to quarterbacks. This should be a bounce-back game for Hurts from a fantasy standpoint so have high expectations. His health is a worry, but he seems to have played through his ailments most weeks.

Start Hurts as one of the top fantasy quarterbacks for Week 15. We are looking at 250 passing yards against an average defense and add 40 rushing yards and at least two touchdowns.

PHI QB Jalen Hurts - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Dallas Cowboys
Jalen Hurts' fantasy numbers weren't too bad last week despite the fact the Eagles got beat bad. He threw for 298 yards and a touchdown and also ran for one. He has now run for six touchdowns in the last four games and that remains a big reason he continues to be highly ranked quarterback.

Hurts faces the Cowboys for the second time this season. In the first meeting, his numbers were okay with 207 rushing yards and a touchdown pass. He ran for 36 yards and a touchdown. Dallas is ranked 21st in aFPA to quarterbacks.

Start Hurts as the top fantasy quarterback in the NFL for Week 14. The Cowboys need to get pressure on him and that won't be easy with the Philly line. That usually means a big day for Hurts.

PHI QB Jalen Hurts - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. San Franciso 49ers
Jalen Hurts had a monster fantasy day last Sunday. He threw for 200 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran for 65 yards and two more touchdowns. He now has five rushing touchdowns over the last three games. The Eagles have been winning close games, but Hurts has been playing at a high fantasy level in recent weeks.

Hurts faces the 49ers who is ranked first in the NFL in aFPA to quarterbacks. Yes, the matchup favors the Niners defense, but Hurts has been good against the best NFL defenses over the last two seasons.

Start Hurts as the top fantasy quarterback for Week 13. He is comfortable at home and although San Francisco might get some stops, Hurts will still get his fantasy numbers this week including multiple touchdowns.
