Scouting report

PHI QB Jalen Hurts - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at New York Giants
Jalen Hurts high passing yardage total over the last four games is 178 yards. He has thrown three touchdowns and one interception over this time. However, he has had double-digit rushing attempts the past three weeks and last game he scored three rushing touchdowns. He hasn't been under 55 rushing yards over the past five games.

Hurts will face the Giants who are ranked 9th in aFPA to quarterbacks. The passing yards might stay low but as long as the Eagles continue to run the ball effectively, Hurts' fantasy numbers will continue to be high.

Start Hurts as a top 5 fantasy quarterback for Week 12 despite a tough matchup. The Eagles are on a roll with the running game and Hurts is right in the middle of it.

PHI QB Jalen Hurts - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. New Orleans
Jalen Hurts has been playing very well but his passing numbers continue to be low. He was better this past week against Denver with 178 passing yards and two touchdowns. He added 55 rushing yards to his numbers which definitely helps his fantasy standing.

Hurts faces the Saints who are 15th in aFPA to quarterbacks. Expect some low passing numbers compared to other starting quarterbacks but the rushing numbers elevate Hurts.

Start Hurts as a solid QB1 for Week 11. It should be a better outing for the Eagles QB at home, but there is room for overall improvement.

PHI QB Jalen Hurts - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Denver
Jalen Hurts has completed 20 of 31 passes for 265 yards - that's combined over the last two games. Not sure what's going on with the Philly offense, but fantasy owners have to take pause. The rushing numbers are still there - 132 over the past two games. But the lack of fantasy passing stats takes him down overall.

Hurts faces the Broncos who shut down Dallas offense last week and are ranked 5th in aFPA to quarterbacks. If you have another option besides Hurts for Week 10, you might want to consider it. He is a borderline QB1/QB2 but maybe wait until the Eagles sort out what they are doing on offense before you rely on him week-to-week.

PHI QB Jalen Hurts - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Los Angeles Chargers
Jalen Hurts was quiet last week because the Eagles blew out the Lions. He only threw 14 passes for 103 yards, but he did rush for 71 yards on the day. However, he was not involved in any touchdowns in the passing or running game so it was a fantasy flop despite the fact Philly scored 41 points.

Hurts will face the Chargers this Sunday who are ranked 2nd in aFPA to quarterbacks. Los Angeles has been very good on defense and will give Hurts a challenge.

Start Hurts because we will have a competitive game and his number will go back to his norm. He rates a solid QB1 for Week 9.

PHI QB Jalen Hurts - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Detroit
It was a so-so day for Jalen Hurts last Sunday. The biggest issue lately is completion rate. It has been under 60% the last three weeks which means he isn't getting the balls to his targets. He did run the ball well but didn't produce any rushing touchdowns.

Hurts will face the Lions who are 21st in aFPA to quarterbacks. Even when he hasn't played well, Hurts has been a formidable fantasy quarterback. We expect better numbers this week.

Start Hurts as a Top-5 fantasy quarterback for Week 8. The passing game will be better and the rushing numbers will carry him to the top of the rankings.

PHI QB Jalen Hurts - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Las Vegas
Although he was part of three touchdowns last week, Jalen Hurts had his worst game of the season. He completed only 46% of his passes and threw for only 115 yards. He also threw an interception. With the running and passing ability of Hurts, he has been a quality fantasy QB in early 2021. Chalk last week up to just a bad game.

The Eagles visit Las Vegas where the Raiders are ranked 16th in aFPA to quarterbacks. We expect Philly to bounce back on offense and Hurts to go back to what he has been doing.

Expect a big day in the desert for Hurts. Start him as a top 5 fantasy quarterback for Week 7 in all leagues and formats.

PHI QB Jalen Hurts - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Tampa Bay
It wasn't a pretty game for the Eagles on offense as Jalen Hurts passed for 198 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception. But it wasn't a total disaster for the Philly signal-caller who had two rushing touchdowns in the win. The completion rate and yards per catch were the lowest of the season for Hurt.

Philadelphia has a quick turnaround Thursday night when they play Tampa Bay who is ranked 28th in aFPA to quarterbacks. The offense should be fine and there is a good chance this turns into a shootout.

Start Hurts as a solid QB1 for Week 6. The matchup is favorable and even when he has struggled, he has still managed to find fantasy points for owners.
