JAX RB JaMycal Hasty - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Kansas City Chiefs

JaMycal Hasty continues to sit a long way behind Travis Etienne in the Jaguars backfield. He saw just three carries against the Raiders, earning six yards while catching his sole target for another five yards. He was by no means a fantasy factor.

The Chiefs rank 25th in aFPA to running backs this season. But Hasty is seeing so few opportunities, even this friendly matchup does not make him interesting in fantasy terms.

JAX RB JaMycal Hasty - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Las Vegas Raiders

JaMycal Hasty carried the ball four times against the Denver Broncos in Week 8 while also seeing four targets in the passing game. He rushed for just 13 yards, however, and his three grabs went for MINUS three yards. Hasty managed 2.5 Half PPR points, a tally that 56 other RBs exceeded in Week 8.

Hasty is firmly behind Travis Etienne in the Jaguars' backfield, and should not be viewed as a fantasy option in Week 9. This is despite the Raiders ranking 22nd in aFPA to running backs. You really don't need to start him.

JAX RB JaMycal Hasty - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Denver Broncos (London)

JaMycal Hasty didn't have much to do in Week 7 against the New York Giants. He carried the ball just once for six yards. Hasty has just five rush attempts all season for 69 yards, with 61 coming on a single play. He has 16.1 Half PPR points in 2022.

Hasty might see a few more opportunities with James Robinson now with the Jets, but this seems to be Travis Etienne's backfield now. Besides, Week 8 doesn't look like a great week to be messing around with him in fantasy. The Broncos are fourth in aFPA to running backs this season. You don't need Hasty in your starting lineup this week.

SF RB JaMycal Hasty - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Arizona Cardinals

JaMycal Hasty had three carries for four yards and two receptions for 29 receiving yards last week against the Bears. Hasty is playing a supplemental role in this offense, so unless Elijah Mitchell is out with his rib injury, Hasty should be nowhere near fantasy lineups. Managers who roster Mitchell should consider Hasty as a backup plan if Mitchell is a late scratch, however.

SF RB JaMycal Hasty - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Chicago Bears

JaMycal Hasty had three carries and three receptions for a total of 16 yards last week against the Colts. While it’s good to see him get six targets, it’s hard to plug him into lineups when he’s clearly at least second on the depth chart behind Elijah Mitchell, who got 18 carries last week. Leave Hasty on waivers.

SF RB JaMycal Hasty - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Philadelphia Eagles

JaMycal Hasty had a touchdown last week, but it was on just one carry for three yards. He added a 15-yard reception to his total for the day, but he was on the field for just 29% of the team’s offensive snaps and seems to be the clear backup to rookie Elijah Mitchell. Hasty is worth adding to deep rosters in case this backfield changes – no one expected Trey Sermon to be a healthy scratch for Week 1 – but for now, there’s no reason to suspect he’ll get enough work to warrant a place in fantasy lineups.

SF RB JaMycal Hasty - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at New Orleans Saints

JaMycal Hasty only had four carries and two receptions for a total of 13 yards last week. He has some upside if Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson remain out, as expected, but he’s still vying for touches with Jerick McKinnon, making him a risky option. Hasty should remain on rosters in deep leagues as a stash, just in case he clears his way to more playing time. He’s shown flashes with limited opportunity. However, starting him is way too risky at this point, and fantasy owners should look elsewhere if possible.
