Week 17 vs. Los Angeles Chargers
In a stunning turn of events, the Broncos are pivoting to benching Russell Wilson and starting backup Jarrett Stidham for the last two weeks of the season to preserve their ability to cut Wilson this offseason with the lowest cap hit possible. Wilson's descent into mediocrity has been shocking and the fact that it looks like he will be cut after only two disappointing seasons in Denver solidifies the fact that the trade to acquire him from Seattle will go down in infamy. As for Stidham, he gets a good matchup in Week 17 against the Chargers porous secondary, but Stidham is a career backup who hasn't started a game this season. The last time we saw Stidham he was relieving Derek Carr in an eerily similar situation last year in Vegas. Stidham is not a starter you want to count on for fantasy championship week.
