Fantasy Upside
Coming off his best season as a pro, Jeff Heuerman finished ’18 with 31 receptions for 281 yards and only two scores. With Jake Butt battling injuries, Heuerman was the starting TE for much of year before being sidelined himself for the final month with broken ribs. His breakout game came in early November versus the Texans, in which he caught 10 of 11 targets for 83 yards and a TD.

Fantasy Downside
Heuerman missed the final month last year and has missed at least two games in all three of his NFL seasons. It’s no secret that his playing time will take a huge hit since the Broncos drafted Noah Fant in the first round and plan for him to take over the starting role once he’s fully up to speed with the offense.

Bottom Line
Heuerman may remain the starter when the regular season begins, but Fant will take over the position and likely see most of the snaps by October. There is no need to draft Heuerman but keep an eye on the Denver TE position in the event the rookie either struggles or is unable to make it through the season.
