CLE RB Jerome Ford - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 @ Cincinnati Bengals
With Nick Chubb sidelined due to a broken foot, Jerome Ford is poised to step back into the lead role for the Cleveland Browns in Week 16. While the Browns’ offense has been inconsistent, this matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals offers an ideal opportunity for Ford to shine. The Bengals’ defense has struggled mightily against the run, ranking 25th in schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed to running backs. They’ve also given up 15 rushing touchdowns to non-quarterbacks this season, the fifth-most in the NFL, making Ford a strong candidate to possibly find the end zone.

CLE RB Jerome Ford - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Kansas City Chiefs
Jerome Ford once again logged a higher snap rate than teammate Nick Chubb, including nearly all of the third-down work, but it only translated to 6.2 half-PPR points in Week 14. It was the seventh game in a row he has failed to 7.0 points and now he has a Chiefs defense that ranks 1st in RB aFPA to contend with. Consider him a low-end RB4.

CLE RB Jerome Ford - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Jerome Ford looked to be the third down back moving forward, as he came through with a decent 4-29-0 receiving line on four targets coming out of the bye, but followed it up with a one-target performance in Week 12. Sadly, that's not enough to sustain fantasy production, as it's really just taking food off the plate of Nick Chubb. Ford should be kept on benches in Week 14.

CLE RB Jerome Ford - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 @ Denver Broncos
Jerome Ford looked to be the third down back moving forward, as he came through with a decent 4-29-0 receiving line on four targets coming out of the bye, but followed it up with a one-target performance in Week 12. Sadly, that's not enough to sustain fantasy production, as it's really just taking food off the plate of Nick Chubb. Ford should be kept on benches, particularly in a week with no byes.

CLE RB Jerome Ford - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
Jerome Ford looks to be the third down back moving forward, as he came through with a decent 4-29-0 receiving line on four targets coming out of the bye. Sadly, that's not enough to sustain fantasy production, as it's really just taking food off the plate of Nick Chubb. Ford should be kept on benches, even with this heavy dose of bye weeks.

CLE RB Jerome Ford - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 @ New Orleans Saints
We only have one game of sample with Jerome Ford and Nick Chubb in the same backfield, and it wasn't pretty for the former. Ford logged five opportunities for seven total yards and 1.2 half-PPR points. That should be enough of a datapoint to push him off into the waiver wire.

CLE RB Jerome Ford - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 @ Philadelphia Eagles
It looked like Jerome Ford had missed the D'Onta Foreman bullet for a moment, but he's right back in the rotation, limiting Ford to nine rushes and three targets in Week 5 in what was slated to be a good matchup. This is likely the last week without Nick Chubb (or Nyheim Hines), so play Ford if you need to, but an RB3 outcome is probably the most likely.
