Scouting report

CLE RB Jerome Ford - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Denver Broncos

The Steelers did a much better job containing Jerome Ford this time around, holding him to just 31 yards, though Ford did score a touchdown. Ford actually has a favorable matchup this week against the Broncos, but Cleveland has also kept Kareem Hunt in the mix as well. That will limit Ford's fantasy potential, but there's still enough him to make him a borderline RB2 this week.

CLE RB Jerome Ford - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Jerome Ford has taken back control of the backfield in Cleveland and the Browns may start leaning on him even more now that they won't have Deshaun Watson again this season. Ford scored his second 100-yard rushing game last week against the Ravens. His first? Week 2 against the Steelers, the team he sees this week. Kareem Hunt will still get work, but Ford is the guy again in Cleveland and should make for a nice RB2 again this week.

CLE RB Jerome Ford - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Baltimore Ravens

Jerome Ford saw 25 touches last week and 20 rushing attempts. He only took those touches for 77 total yards but the opportunities are there. He’s the top back once again in Cleveland, but he faces a very tough matchup this week. The Ravens are arguably the best defense in the league right now. Cleveland is going to keep feeding Ford and he catches passes, so he’s still good enough to be a flex option, even in Baltimore.

CLE RB Jerome Ford - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Arizona Cardinals

Jerome Ford was able to return from his ankle injury last week but was likely on a pitch count as the Browns were still able to work with Kareem Hunt. Ford is still limited in practice, so temper expectations if you play Ford this week. There’s enough here to make him flex worthy with upside.

CLE RB Jerome Ford - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Indianapolis Colts

Jerome Ford faced a tough matchup last week again the 49ers and he still averaged about five yards per carry on 17 attempts. Perhaps the bye week helped. His 84 yards last week was 40 yards more than he had in Weeks 3 and 4 combined. He should continue his bounce back in what looks on paper like a much easier matchup against the Colts. In fact, we have him as a borderline RB1 this week.

CLE RB Jerome Ford - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. San Francisco 49ers

Jerome Ford has 19 carries for 44 yards with one rushing touchdown while adding 52 yards on seven catches with a touchdown in two games since taking over for the injured Nick Chubb. A lot of factors are also going against him this week. His offensive line is banged up and Deshaun Watson is out. Oh, yeah, and the 49ers are incredible on defense. Ford is a cautious RB2 this week.

CLE RB Jerome Ford - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Baltimore Ravens

While the rushing attempts weren’t really there (10), Jerome Ford played far more snaps than either Kareem Hunt or Pierre Strong. Early on, Cleveland wasn’t kidding when they said Ford is the lead back. He scored a touchdown in the Browns’ first game without Nick Chubb. Ford looks like the main man going forward and the production will come. He’s a fine RB2 this week in a big game against the Ravens.
