Scouting report

SEA TE Jimmy Graham - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Houston Texans

Jimmy Graham has heated up as has the Seattle passing game. The two are definitely related as Graham has 2 touchdowns in his last two games. His overall numbers rank fairly high for tight ends league-wise, although, they don't put him in that elite category he had been in for years.

The Texans rank 13th in aFPA to tight ends, so no advantage either way with the matchup. Graham will remain a solid TE1 for Week 8 and should be started in all leagues and formats.

SEA TE Jimmy Graham - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at New York Giants

Jimmy Graham scored his first touchdown of the season before the bye week and he also had 8 targets, which was his second-highest total of the season. Graham hasn't put up great numbers each week, but he has been consistently involved in the Seahawks' offense.

Graham has a great matchup this week against the Giants, who are ranked 30th in aFPA vs. tight ends. That helps raise his value to a solid TE1 for Week 7. Start him in all leagues and formats.

SEA TE Jimmy Graham - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Los Angeles Rams

Jimmy Graham was the most targeted Seattle receiver in Week 4 (6), and he ended up with 4 receptions for 61 yards. He still doesn't have a touchdown this season, but that could change.

Graham is still very much a factor in the Seahawks offense and he faces a Rams defense this week ranked 21st in aFPA to tight ends, so this is a good matchup for the veteran tight end. Start him as a top-5 fantasy tight end in Week 5.

SEA TE Jimmy Graham - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Indianapolis Colts

Despite not practicing last week, Jimmy Graham had his best game of the season with 11 targets, 7 receptions, and 72 yards. Considering he only had 9 receiving yards the first two games, this had to be a relief to Graham owners.

He still isn't healthy (ankle) and won't practice this week, but as we saw in Week 3, that really didn't matter. Graham has a decent matchup against the Colts in Week 4, so as long as he is in the lineup, start him as a solid TE1 on Sunday.

SEA TE Jimmy Graham - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Tennessee Titans

Jimmy Graham has been a star the past couple of seasons for fantasy owners, but the first two weeks of 2017 have been pretty bad: 10 targets, 4 catches, and only 9 yards. Yes, that's not a typo—9 yards. Graham is also having health issues and is questionable this week. He didn't practice Thursday because of an ankle issue so he might not play Sunday. If he does, we still think he will bounce back so start him as a low-end TE1.

SEA TE Jimmy Graham - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. San Francisco 49ers

It wasn't a good start offensively for Jimmy Graham in 2017, catching only 3 passes for 8 yards. The good news is he was targeted 8 times and should be No. 2 on that list every week behind Doug Baldwin.

This week looks better for Graham, who caught 10 passes for 164 yards last season in the two meetings with San Francisco, including a 100-yard receiving effort at home in Week 3.

Start Graham in all leagues and expect top-five fantasy numbers at the tight end position.

SEA TE Jimmy Graham - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs Green Bay Packers

Jimmy Graham has settled into the Seattle offense and should be a fantasy factor all season long. Graham will face an average Green Bay defense who was 17th in aFPA to tight ends last season. He did not fare well against the Packers in their regular season meeting last year, catching only one pass for 16 yards.

Seattle as a whole played awful that game and we expect Week 1 to be different. Start Graham in all leagues and formats; you will see a top-five fantasy tight end performance from him at Lambeau.
