Scouting report

CIN QB Joe Burrow - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Tennessee Titans
Joe Burrow had a monster day last week throwing for 355 yards and four touchdowns. The only negative was two interceptions. It was his first four-touchdown game of the season. The good news is Ja'marr Chase is expected to be back this week which should give Cincy a boost.

Burrow will face the Titans who are ranked 29th in aFPA to quarterbacks. Tennessee has had secondary issues so expect the Bengals to take advantage of that.

Burrow ranks a solid QB1 for Week 12. Titans are always tougher at home, but we still like the matchup and Chase coming back will help the Bengals overall offense.

CIN QB Joe Burrow - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Pittsburgh Steelers
The Bengals won easily last time out before the bye so Joe Burrow's talents were needed as much as the running game had a big day. He threw for 206 yards, a touchdown and zero picks. Burrow has looked better overall completing at least 70% of his passes over the last four games and has adjusted to the absence of Ja'Marr Chase.

Burrow will face the Steelers for the second time this season. His fantasy numbers weren't bad with the exception of four interceptions, but the Bengals were playing from behind and had to get away from their gameplan. Pittsburgh is ranked 22nd in aFPA to quarterbacks, but with the return of T.J. Watt, the Steelers pass rush is back to where it was Week 1 against Cincy.

Start Burrow as a solid QB1 for Week 11. He should have decent numbers against a below-average secondary and the offensive line as solved some of the issues from the first meeting.

CIN QB Joe Burrow - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Carolina Panthers
The Bengals offense sputtered early on Monday night although Joe Burrow still ended up throwing for 232 yards and two touchdowns. He also throw his sixth interception of the season. It looked like the Cincy offense was getting their act together in recent weeks, but it wasn't a good showing against the Browns. Have to wonder how much the Ja'Marr Chase's injury affects Burrow moving forward.

The Panthers are up next and are ranked 15th in aFPA to quarterbacks. Burrow has been up and down all season, but maybe a home game against an average defense will help him go in the right direction.

Start Burrow as a solid QB1 for Week 9 against Carolina. He should improve his numbers from Monday and is now adjusting to life without Chase.

CIN QB Joe Burrow - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Cleveland Browns
Joe Burrow had a monster game last week against Atlanta. He threw for 481 yards, 3 touchdowns and ran for another. It was the third straight game he has scored a rushing touchdown which has been an added bonus for his managers in 2022. Last season, he rushed for two touchdowns the entire season.

Bengals head to cross-state rival Cleveland who is ranked 16th in aFPA to quarterbacks. Last season against the Browns, he only played one game and struggled, throwing for 282 yards, but zero touchdowns and two interceptions.

Burrow is on fire the last several games and should continue to put up good fantasy numbers. Start him as a top-5 fantasy quarterback for Week 8 even against a team he struggled against last season.

CIN QB Joe Burrow - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Atlanta Falcons
Joe Burrow had his second 300-yard passing game of the season and this time it wasn't in a loss. He also threw three touchdown passes and also ran for a rushing touchdown for the second straight game. Not sure if the Bengals are totally out of their offensive funk, but they looked better.

Burrow will face Atlanta who is ranked 30th in aFPA to quarterbacks. The Falcons have been involved in some high-scoring games so this one should be similar.

Start Burrow as a top 5 fantasy quarterback for Week 7. Cincinnati's passing game is back on track and his receivers are healthy. Should be a big game for Burrow.

CIN QB Joe Burrow - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at New Orleans Saints
It was another so-so outing for Joe Burrow. He threw for 217 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for a touchdown for the first time this season. The Bengals offense still doesn't look right but eventually you have to think they will figure it out.

Burrow faces the Saints next who are ranked 15th in aFPA to quarterbacks. The offensive line issues are only part of the problem as the receivers have either not been healthy or underachieved so far this season.

Start Burrow for Week 6 as a solid QB1. We expect a little better numbers than he has been putting up recently, but probably still not where he was last season when he was playing his best football.

CIN QB Joe Burrow - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Baltimore Ravens
Joe Burrow has now had solid back-to-back games averaging 281 passing yards and throwing a combined five touchdowns and zero interceptions. After the shaky start to the season, it seems the Bengals offense has settled in. The offensive line was an issue but that has seems to stabilized as well.

Burrow faces a Ravens pass defense that has been one of the worst in the NFL. Baltimore ranks 29th in aFPA to quarterbacks and just has not had an answer to any quarterback this season. Burrow actually threw for a combined 941 yards last year in the two meetings with the Ravens.

Start Burrow as a top 5 fantasy quarterback for Week 5. The combination of Cincy's offense looking more like 2021 and the very favorable matchup means a big game for the Bengals offense and especially the passing game.
