Scouting report

CIN RB Joe Mixon - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Cleveland Browns
False alarm last week as Joe Mixon was inactive again with the concussion. He practice on Wednesday which is a good sign, but still has not been medically cleared officially. Obviously when he is healthy, he is a great asset to the Bengals offense and used with frequency.

Mixon faces the Browns who are ranked 32nd in aFPA to running backs. He had 68 total yards and a touchdown in the first meeting with Cleveland.

You will need to check the inactives for Sunday because a lot pointed towards Mixon playing and he didn't. If he is a go, he ranks a low-end RB1. Despite the very favorable matchup, the Bengals might ease Mixon back into the lineup, especially with the success Samaje Perine has had in his absence.

CIN RB Joe Mixon - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Kansas City Chiefs
Joe Mixon missed last week with a concussion but is expected to be cleared to play on Sunday. He still has been limited in practice so keep an eye on the injury report to make sure he is definitely active.

Mixon faces the Chiefs who are ranked 13th in aFPA to running backs. If Mixon is a go, we expect a decent workload but he might be held back slightly. Last season, he had 115 total yards in the playoff game but was more limited in the regular season matchup.

Start Mixon as a solid RB2 for Week 13. We expect at least 15 touches and the matchup is neutral. He will still help your fantasy team this week.

CIN RB Joe Mixon - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Pittsburgh Steelers
Joe Mixon was fantasy player of the week a couple weeks ago before the bye for the Bengals. He scored four touchdows and accumulated 211 total yards. His 26 touches were the most since Week 4. somethin we have mentioned numerous times. When he gets touches, he generally gets a huge fantasy points.

Mixon will face the Steelers who are ranked 8th in aFPA to running backs. He had 34 touches against Pittsburgh in Week 1 that produced 145 total yards, his highest total until last week.

Star Mixon as a top five fantasy running back for Week 11. All signs are pointing to another game with lost of usage and that means a good fantasy outing for the Cincy running back.

CIN RB Joe Mixon - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Carolina Panthers
Joe Mixon was limited in the running game with only eight carries for 27 yards, but he caught seven passes for 32 yards which made him valuable in PPR leagues. He has not been involved with the passing game as much as we might have expected, but the seven receptions tied his season-high from Week 1.

Mixon faces the Panthers who are ranked 24th in aFPA to running backs. This is a good matchup for the Bengals running game so we are expecting him to get his share of carries.

Start Mixon as a solid RB1 for Week 9. As long as Cincy doesn't abandon the run game early, he should get 15+ touches to make an impact for fantasy managers.

CIN RB Joe Mixon - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Cleveland Browns
Joe Mixon was back to 20 touches last week which produced 91 yards and a touchdown. It was the first time he had 20+ touches in the last three games even though the Bengals offense has started to click over that time period. It's good news for Mixon's owners because he needs to be at that 20+ touch mark in order to maintain his RB1 status.

Mixon faces the Browns who are ranked 30th in aFPA to running backs. Last season, he played Cleveland once and had 110 total yards and two touchdowns. He has had good games against the division rival throughout his career and this is a very favorable matchup.

Start Mixon as a solid RB1 for Week 8. Bengals players are really starting to shine in fantasy and we expect Mixon will continue to put up good numbers now that Cincy has found the offensive rhythm that was missing in the early season.

CIN RB Joe Mixon - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Atlanta Falcons
Joe Mixon only had 12 touches last week for 68 yards and he did have a receiving touchdown. Not sure why his touches have dipped over the last two weeks, but his fantasy numbers have still been respectable. The good news he is still involved in the passing game.

Mixon will face the Falcons who are ranked 19th in aFPA to running backs. It seems the Bengals offense is coming out of it's early season funk so that should help Mixon with his numbers overall.

Start Mixon as a low-end RB1 for Week 7. The matchup is favorable at home and he gets numbers when he gets touches. So hope, Cincy gets back to getting the ball to Mixon 20+ times.

CIN RB Joe Mixon - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at New Orleans Saints
Although the touches (17) weren't quite where we want them last week, Joe Mixon still produced 88 yards. He needs to be 20+ and when is 25+, he usually is very productive. The Bengals as a whole seem off on offense, so when they right the ship, we expect better fantasy numbers.

Mixon will face the Saints this Sunday. New Orleans is ranked 12th in aFPA to running backs. Once again, it will come down to touches for him.

Start Mixon as a low-end RB1 for Week 6. He should be back to 20+ touches against an average defense.
