Scouting report

BUF WR John Brown - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs Denver
John Brown had his best game of 2019 with nine catches for 137 yards and two touchdowns, all season-highs. Brown has really flourished as the Bills No. 1 receiver. He has had 25 targets in the last two weeks as Buffalo's passing game has started to find its groove.

The Bills play the Broncos who are 4th in aFPA to wide receivers. Although Buffalo has been playing well, it won't be easy against Denver.

Brown still carries value into Week 12 as a low-end WR2 in all leagues and formats. He will still have good numbers, but don't expect what you saw last week.

BUF WR John Brown - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Miami
Another strong game for the Buffalo veteran. John Brown had five receptions 77 yards. He has not had less than four catches in a game. The only stat he has struggled is touchdowns. Brown only has two touchdown receptions this season and not one since Week 7.

Speaking of Week 7, that was the first time Buffalo played Miami this season and Brown had five catches for 84 yards. The Dolphins are currently ranked 26th in aFPA to wide receivers.

Brown should put up similar numbers again this week. Start him as a solid WR2 for Week 11. Buffalo's passing game should have one of its better games.

BUF WR John Brown - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Cleveland
John Brown continues to be the best option in a conservative Buffalo passing attack. He caught four of QB Josh Allen's 14 completions for 76 yards. He now has 42 receptions on the season and has been targeted more than any other Bills receiver.

Brown will face the Browns who are 17th in aFPA to wide receivers. He will be the leading receiver again this week for Buffalo, but they haven't been throwing the ball a lot. Brown rates a high-end WR3 or flex for Week 10 in standard leagues, bur ranks a solid WR2 in PPR leagues.

BUF WR John Brown - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs Washington
You can definitely say John Brown is consistent. He had five receptions for the fourth straight game, but it was his lowest yardage total in that stretch (54 yards). Brown is the Bills best option in the passing game, but Josh Allen's numbers have been a reflection of Buffalo being conservative at times.

Brown will face the Redskins who are 24th in aFPA to wide receivers. The good matchup favors the Bills so expect better numbers from Brown. Start him as a high-end WR2 for Week 9.

BUF WR John Brown - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs Philadelphia
John Brown continues to put up consistent numbers as the best Buffalo wide receiver option. For the third straight week, he caught five passes and had his second-highest receiving yard total of the season. He also caught his second touchdown of 2019.

Brown will face a poor Eagles secondary. Philly ranks 31st in aFPA to wide receivers. The Bills passing game should thrive and Brown will be a beneficiary. Start Brown in all leagues and formats as a solid WR1 for Week 8.

BUF WR John Brown - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs Miami
John Brown is the leading receiver for Buffalo with 28 receptions for 390 yards. The only department he has been lacking is touchdowns with only one. Brown is coming off the bye week but isn't healthy. He is nursing a sore groin and right now is questionable. Keep an eye on his status.

If he does play, he has a great matchup against the Dolphins who are 27th in aFPA to wide receivers. The Buffalo passing game hasn't been great, but Brown has been good enough to make a fantasy impact. Start him as a high-end WR3 for Week 7, but keep an eye on the inactives.

BUF WR John Brown - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Tennessee
John Brown is off to a good start for a guy who really wasn't on anyone's fantasy radar. He is averaging just under six catches for 79 yards per game. Brown is the No. 1 target in a limited Buffalo passing game, but has done well through the first quarter of the season.

Brown will face the Titans who rank fifth in aFPA to wide receivers. It won't be easy for the Buffalo offense and even though Brown is their best option, we don't expect much from him in Week 5. Keep him on the bench on Sunday.
