Week 6 at New England Patriots
Jonathan Hilliman played 64% of the snaps last week against the Vikings due to Wayne Gallman leaving early with a concussion. Hilliman gained only 20 yards on nine carries, adding four more on a lone reception, but he’s set to be the starter while Saquon Barkley and Wayne Gallman are both out.
It’s unclear whether or not Gallman will play Thursday night, but if he’s out, then Hilliman has upside. It’s a difficult matchup against the Patriots, who have allowed the eighth-least aFPA so far this season. Only the Eagles and Buccaneers have allowed fewer rushing yards per game. If Gallman and Barkley are inactive, Hilliman has some upside, but he’s super risky as a relative unknown in a tough matchup. Fantasy owners should consider him a desperation starter with high risk.
Update: Gallman is officially out. Hilliman still has a rough matchup, but should get some extra touches.
